Whatever used to be in this location was terrible, so it took a bit for me to bring myself to go in. I had heard they had a good schwarma (from trash talk on their neighbour's page) so I was curious and wanted to check it out. Despite the fact that it wasn't shown on the menu (they did note a donair, but that doesn't always mean schwarma), and after a somewhat confusing conversation with the lady working the till, she said "okay". Then the ordeal of paying cash comes up, despite the debit machine parked at the counter I got the story that it "wasn't working". I was deferred to the ATM with a $2 surcharge. This brought back memories of the old owners and I started feeling ripped off, and I almost walked out. Here's a tip: If you're cash only, put up a "Cash only" sign.

After a few more bumps and a bit of a wait I got my schwarma and went on my way. Despite everything, it was a damned good schwarma (or donair, or sandwich, or whatever). The chicken was really well seasoned and very moist and tender. This place gets sized up against its competition across the street but both are good for different reasons and both are worth trying, I'm just not sure the about the service here but I'll likely check it out again, and I'll bring cash.
