Used to come here all the time and buy their ready made cold Italian sandwiches. Craving a good sandwich I stopped in and ended up ordering a meatball panini as it was their Friday special. The meatballs were house made, you could see the limited stock in a prep pan swimming in marinara. I ordered a large ($9 tax included) and it was a decent size, maybe an inch or two shy of being a footlong. The large meatball sub consisted of 4 large meatball halves (2 large meatballs total), marinara, lots of sautéed onions, mozzarella and banana peppers. First bite, the meatballs were awesome, big, well seasoned and hearty. The marinara was very simple, pure tangy tomato (no doubt canned San Marzano) blended into marinara. Personally I felt as though I needed a creamy element so I ended up adding some mayo which added a nice flavor when mixed with the marinara (same beautiful reaction as mayo and ketchup mixing on a burger). It's what you'd expect from an authentic Italian deli - food, ambiance and all.
I am told this is not truly traditional Italian. Personally I don't care their sandwiches are amazing. My best trip was closing time. We met an old women locking the door as I pulled it. Instead of turning us away She not only let us in, but gave my wife and I all the extra meat (they must slice it fresh daily) in our sandwiches and large soups. It was a great meal.
This is one of the best sandwich places I've ever been to. The food is great, service is friendly and its inexpensive for what you get. Anytime im in the area and im hungry I head here.
I drove all the way from the south side to try this place out. And boy did this hole in the wall surprised me. They make sandwhichs the real way. Fresh ingredients and TLC. The older Italian lady here is a gem!
Great place to get lunch!. There italian grill is my personal favorite! Lots of meat with the delicious veggie spread, gotta get the veggie spread, its fully loaded. They always have a lunch special. A hidden gem!

Didn't expect their sandwiches to be so good, and their mustard (coming from someone who HATES mustard) is reallly good. The old lady is quite intimidating at times, but shes quite friendly too. Will definetly come back. It beats subway by a mile. However i didnt like their minestrone soup, too salty, so dont get it!
