Noodle 42

Im picky with pho . ive moved to edmonton and had terrible luck with pho.im a vegeterian but pho is only exception. Noodle 42 was the first time i could actually eat the meat , calgary and edmonton has a different style of satay beef as edmonton uses tge peanut base satay. I suggest if your a sate fan order the regular pho beef (13) and add the original satay yourself. I was pretty happy and not disappointed. Service was amazing very friendly, best pho yet other than pho kim in calgary this is my edmonton to go spot! Thanks guys for not letting me down. I had to go to calgary to eat my pho and now i have a place . i dont post reviews but noodle 42 hands down deserves one.

Delicious food! We had two different vermicelli bowls and they were both very good. The meat was perfectly cooked. Not sure what the "red ham" was I didn't want to try it! The service was great too.

Have gone numerous times with people from work at lunch. We had always had very prompt service we get out water seconds after sitting down. Salad rolls are fantastic. Typical noodle dishes, get quite a bit of food for a good price.

Great soup and salad rolls. Best I've ever had. Like most Vietnamese restaurants the service is awful.

Great service! Fresh veggies in their pan fried chicken vermicelli. Only complaint was there was only a small amount of chicken. Very good though! Good prices!

Pretty waitress, meh service okay food. I go to absolute power which is right next to this restaurant pretty often, however I have never bothered to check it out. Having been super lazy with my reviews I decided I would try a restaurant I had not been to before so I went into Noodle 42.

The place is nice, nothing eye catching, however that's made up for by the cute waitress and that's about as good as it gets here. I was eating alone so I just decided to go with the curry pho noodle soup bowl, sadly I forgot that anything "curry" in a restaurant that is not Indian means made with yellow curry powder bought from super store and not real curry. My bad. Though really I should not be ordering curry flavored Vietnamese soup in the first place.

My order arrived promptly and it looked okay. The main problem I found with it was that ALL and I mean ALL my noddles were broken, it was like someone ran them through a machine which cut them all up. Not one noddle was longer than the width of my fork.
Normally I like to eat my noodles with chop sticks and the big soup spoon they give me, using chop sticks to ferry my noodles to my big spoon and then eat them. Alas that was not going to happen this time.

Vietnamese soup tastes good I find as I just add a ton of the sauces readily found on the table to it and that flavors it to what I like. The chicken was okay, nothing special but enjoyable.

I rather go to tau bay downtown as the food and service there is better.
After I finished eating I sat around with my bowl pushed away from me for over 5 minutes waiting for someone to bring me a check, eventually I just got up and went to the counter at the back and paid there. I also wanted to order a coke or something to drink but was never asked if I wanted to order anything to drink. Again though the waitress is pretty enough that she should really be doing something else, after all beautiful people fall upwards right?

Great variety of soups to choose from. I definately reccommend the pan fried pork and the fresh spring rolls. An absolute must. Fast and friendly service every time we go, which is quite often.
