The chicarron pupusas here are delicious, and so are the empanadas and carne assada! We recieved very warm and welcoming service and will return. We ordered one for delivery prior to visiting in person, and the meal was delicious and very well packed for delivery.
Okay, for everybody else in the city serving pupusas,tostados, enchiladas, tacos and/ or tamales its time to up your game. This place, as inconspicuous and simple as it is makes it to the top of the list based on shear goodness. Holy cow, do yourself a favor and try it, its also very reasonably priced.....we will do this again and again!!!!

Best pupusas in the city! And the tamarind juice is sooo good! Excellent service! I love this place! You're missing out if you've never been. Don't let the location/facade deter you, this place is a must try!
Geez, where does time fly? It’s been a year and a half since my first visit to Mamenche’s. I’ve been meaning to come back to try more things off their menu. Well, that finally happened when I was able to round up the troops for a Friday lunch. Hours are a bit different than most as Mamenche’s closes Wednesday and Thursday.

Best Pupusas in Edmonton! This restaurant is standard go to for me. The food is delicious (especially the Pupusas "mixtas" with meat and cheese). And the prices are great. I always leave feeling satisfied.
Try the Salvadorian "quesdilla" (a delicious and not overly sweet cake) with coffee served up in a beautiful hand painted baked clay coffee mug.
It's never usually too busy (I consider this place a hidden gem; I think it would be busier if more people knew about it) and the service is generally good. Sometimes when it is slower there is less staff and the chef will attend to you. She is an absolutely wonderful lady who really appreciates people as much as the wonderful food she makes.
The place is simple but homey and comfortable. The focus here is really on the delicious food and great prices.
TIP: If you like it spicy ask for some hot sauce and they will bring some on the side. And man it is spicy! I like to mix it in with the tomato sauce they provide to put on your Pupusas for the perfect combination.
Will be back.. It was delicious and the service was lovely. The decor is nothing to write home about but adds to its down to Earth, home cooking, great meal at an affordable price charm.
We had the tostadas, tacos, and (of course) papusas; all were fantastic.
Pupusa pizza!!!. This place is super quiet, non-assuming, simply decorated, and freaking DELICIOUS. I love the pupusas, and right now they have pupusa pizza on Sundays - basically a giant pupusa you share with friends. I hope this item gets added to the regular menu because it's so great.

Will be back. Those pupusas were great!! I had the pork and cheese. At first I didn't know you were supposed to cover them in the pickled cabbage and salsa that were served along side. But once our waitress recommended that, it made them even tastier!

The summer (west facing windows) - no air conditioning - but gives you true salvadorian feel! Nice authentic salvadorian decor. Family friendly!
food: delicious salvadorian food (i am salvadorian)! Portions are great! Pupusas are best in the city. Although overall the food could use a bit more flavor/salt and please more vinegar to the curtido!!
