So this is a restaurant that started up in the same spot that another Korean restaurant (Korean Gardens) was open a long while back. Regardless of how the food was back then, I have to say that the food now is pretty good, and they have a pretty extensive menu. Korean restaurants in general seem to be springing up all over the place in Edmonton now, and this is good news because the more competition there is, the more each restaurant will need to step up its game in order to keep up. B Bim Baap has good food at prices are that are not more expensive than much of the competition that they face, especially as they are in the south side of the city where most Korean places are located.
I will also say that I have not ever had to wait for a long time any time I've gone there, and this is likely because they are located in the the south industrial area between 91 St and Gateway Blvd. They have items that other Korean restaurants don't such as bibimnaengmyon (spicy cold chewy noodles with vegetables, meat, and hard-boiled egg), so it's a good place to go if you want to try dishes aside from the staples like bibimbab. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who has a hankering for Korean food or just good food in general for that matter.
I don't live in Edmonton and this means I cannot visit this restaurant as often as I would like. However, if I'm in Edmonton, this is always my #1 choice. I always have beef bulgogi, and it's always fabulous. It's cooked to perfection, and I enjoy every bite. I wish they will give me extra kimchi, I always feel a little awkward having to ask for a refill. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and words are really inadequate to describe how much I love eating my favorite meal there.
Nestled in an industrial park by the Whitemud, B-Bim-Baab is a hidden but popular Korean eatery. We weren't expecting too many people when visiting at 3PM on a Sunday but there was a surprising amount of tables occupied. Since brunch is a thing, I guess linner (or dunch) can be one too. I've been to B-Bim-Baab once before (pre-blogging days) but
