Have a new fave restaurant now, love going to A Yah Meh Deh & always have great serves. The atmosphere is beautiful but the food is the best!
I have coming here for a few years now. The owner is always super friendly and always in a great mood with some body moving rhythm music playing in the background
I have usually have the goat or spicy jerk chicken along with beef patties to go.
Good has always been consistently great dine in or take out.
Love supporting these guys. Always a great experience
The place to go when you need a jerk chicken fix. Totally decent jerk with the standards sides (rice and peas and coleslaw). I've tried a few things here and the menu seems pretty solid. If you want to carb out, go for a coco bread sandwich (coco bread with a jamaican patty).
I just finished eating here and it was great. I had the jerk chicken with the rice with beans (she said it was cooked in coconut milk as well), mixed vegetables, and the dumplings (basically corn fritters). The dumplings were sweet, soft, and dense in a good way and when eaten with a bit of everything else it married well. You had the sweetness from the dumpling, spice from the chicken, sourness and more heat from the hot sauce which I requested, and the vegetables were simple but well seasoned and supple. All in all, the meal felt balanced enough to me which is important in my opinion. The younger lady at the front was so incredibly friendly as well and answered all of my questions patiently. That alone is what would make me want to come back (which I will be) but throw in the great atmosphere due to it being small but with many windows allowing natural light in and great music playing and you've got a great little place I'd definitely recommend. :)
Nice Surprise. A little slice of the Caribbean in Beverly, on the far east end of 118 Ave. The ambiance is so-so, you order (from a large board) at the counter, pay up and then take your seat. Service is fast and friendly, the ladies are happy to answer questions from newbies (like me).
Food is fresh, tasty and comes in large portions. You choose the meat (jerk pork, jerk chicken.... it's all good) and 2 sides (rice with peas, coleslaw, steamed veggies or dumplings)- 'small' is enough for most regular appetites! They also have snacks like Jamaican patties, fried fish, fried dumplings and a host of Caribbean-style sodas and juices.
On a recent visit, the place was crowded with a mostly Caribbean clientele suggesting 'authentic' flavours. Highly recommended for both the food and a 'unique' (for E-town at least)experience!
PS- Beverly is actually solidly blue-collar, quite a distance away from the really rough parts (70- and 60- something blocks) of 118 Ave.
Delicious!. The food here is fantastic. I had the jerk chicken and my husband ate the ox tail. Would definitely go back. Too bad they've got such odd hours.
Amazing My new favourite J.... Amazing
My new favourite Jamaican restaurant , did take out Order and was greeted with a smile and very polite service. I am a very indecisive person and take a long time to order so that was appreciated. I ordered the beef patties ox tail and jerk chicken all of which were amazing. Beef patties were fresh and just the right amount of flaky and chewy with a delicious spicy beef filling. The jerk chicken and ox tail fell of the bone they were so tender, and the rice with beans and cool tasty cole slaw provided the perfect balance to the spices in the meats. They also packed everything separately without me asking which I liked. The food was so good I think I will go back right now! See u there!
Great food for a reasonable price, very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and the best music of any place in town. Will definitely go here more often!
CHICKENNN. Look if your craving some good chicken.......you go Here. SIMPLE
