The Carrot Community Arts Café is hands down the best coffee shop it town. It is volunteer powered and has a history rooted in community transformation (significant enough that a documentary was made).
A very warm and friendly atmosphere. I recommend visiting there for a nice cup of tea or coffee, etc. and take some time to listen to some music. I really enjoyed hearing Selkirk Range, great artist and a very dear friend.

Randomly, I stopped here and I tasted the homemade soup. Since then, I return every time I can. Furthermore, the staff is very friendly and the ambience is fantastic! I like to see the art in the walls, the handmade pottery and the jewelry. I don't live near from this place but it worths the trip.
Great coffee, tea and art! Hosted by volunteers. It is a beautiful place to connect in the Alberta Avenue neighborhood. Best soup too. I love their contests, festivals and the staff. Katherine and Ruth are the best!
Went on a Tuesday when it wasn't very busy, but it was excellent. We were served promptly and the staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable. Place was very clean and comfortable. The coffee and the food we had was fantastic. I had never known about this place before and went there more by accident than anything. Will definitely be going back.
Great cafe for live music. Bring your instruments. Great group of people. Matcha tea latte is delicious!
I was there for a meeting. Staff was very welcoming and their coffee tasted really good. Should definitely have this place on your list!
Really enjoyed the carrot cake. Not too sweet on the icing. Great coffee.
Great little Cafe! Volunteer run for a great community. Thankful to have them next door!
