A quiet place with good ambience, very friendly staff! Food is exquisite (extra star if you are fond of spicy food), generous in quantity (portions), and reasonable price for all the above combined! It is definitely an experience. Friday night combo (vegetarian) is a must try! Ethiopian Coffee and KATEGNA is highly recommended. They patiently and passionately walk you through menu, and explain what to expect- Extra star for the service.
Langano Skies was delightful! Sad to see an Edmonton staple go… The environment is welcoming and charismatic. The service was extremely attentive and kind! Shout out to Emma! The veggie sambusa was the best way to start the meal! But the special tibs, yebeg wot and atekilt aletcha wot were so delicious!
Went in to take out as not comfortable with no restrictions yet. The restaurant was BEAUTIFUL and clean. The server was amazing and took time going over the menu with us, and then tweaked our orders to make our meal perfect. The food was generously proportioned and absolutely delicious. The best Ethiopian I have ever had. Definitely returning to try the whole menu!
An amazing experience all around. The owner and chef of the restaurant took her time explaining the dishes to us, making sure our first visit to an Ethiopian restaurant was one of the utmost quality! Beyond the spectacular food, the coffee here is out of this world — without a doubt the greatest cup of coffee I've ever had (no cream or sugar needed). I'll be coming back often! Thank you for again!
Best Ethiopian restaurant in Edmonton - very sad to see them closing but excited for what's next for them and their family.
Love the ambience and the staff. Great Ethiopian food in the city! I live a bit far now but still go there for special occasions and loved every single time.
The service we had here was absolutely phenomenal. Gave great explanations, recommendations and was keen on our needs.
The food itself was delicious! I've had Ethiopian food before but only at festivals. Communal eating and eating with your hands is pretty dang fun.
Overall I'd recommend to come here with a group to get the full experience. Highly recommended!
Amazing Ethiopian Food. The Gored Gored and Curried Yebeg Tibs were served with Injera(sour fermented flat bred). You rip off pieces of the Injera and scoop up the meat and pop it right in your mouth. Everything was flavorful and the portions are very generous. It was also served with your choice of salad. The server was very friendly and made it a very pleasant experience. You can walk in without reservations. Very family friendly
