Service was great! We had a couple of servers that came at the right times to check on us. The food was amazing and perfect! The best place to sit, when the weather nice, is right by the outside sidewalk, can watch cars and people go by.

Supper with the crew at Famosa. Fast and hot with friendly staff. Everyone got the favorite pizza! Dessert of Nutella pizza with banana and caramel after. Enjoyed our stay
Awesome food, even better service. One of my pizzas was made incorrectly, and they were not only quick to solve the problem, but they also provided gift certificates enough to cover the cost of a pizza on my next visit. I went from hangry to lovely in a heartbeat, thanks guys
This is my favourite location to get famoso. They switched to a serving style, so now you can get served at famoso instead of stepping up to the counter to order. My favourite waiter works here. I believe his name is Aidan. I was with my friend one day in the winter and it was super cold out. There was a man working on scraping ice off the sidewalk right along the restaurant. My friend and I were planning to buy him a coffee for his hard work, but Aidan went out and offered before we even had the chance to. Faith in humanity was restored that day when I saw that act of kindness. Ever since then, I only go to famoso at the whyte ave location. The management is great as well, every one of the workers seem very happy.
I think I'm echoing the sentiments of many by saying that I'm a Famoso lover, but this location isn't the best. Service is meh, and the menu items just aren't quuuiiiite as good as they normally are at other locations. That said, this is one of the best places for authentic Neapolitan-style pizza in Edmonton. Prices are good - we like to order the big Famoso salad (a favourite of mine) and a pizza for two. We're big fans of the BBQ Chicken, Don Andreas, and or course you can't go wrong with classic Margerita. If you get dessert, go for the gelato! It's always delicious and you can test out a few flavours beforehand. Whatever you do, do NOT order the Panna Cotta! Our party of four all got them and were all sorely disappointed at the soupy dessert placed in front of us. Does not resemble true panna cotta at all! A lot of highs and lows with this place but we keep coming back regardless.
We noticed that at at least 4 famosos the "pizzaiolis" we're getting heavy handed on the fresh garlic- not yummy. Now we substitute it with roasted garlic which works very nicely!
Great food and aptmosphere. My wife, our 9 month old and I went on a Saturday night. The place was busy but we were able to get seated immediately at a small table. The pizza was amazing especially the 4 cheese. I cannot beleive how good it was. Service was good especially considering how loud it was. We were packed a little tight but we enjoyed it and we would certainly be back.
Amazing Pizza for a very good price. Fast and courteous staff and the pizza is the best in Edmonton. BBQ Chicken is to die for.
$18 for the most delicious balls of mozzerella soaked in salt, $12 for half a bottle of tabasco sauce mixed with clamato juice (with added salt) and $20 for a large sized tortilla with off centered tomato sauce and blots of special salt cheese and rotting (fancy) ham, burnt to perfection. Simply a must try for a $50 tab. I could feel my blood pressure rising due to how delicious my experience was!
Somebody please open a Famoso in Regina, SK! My wife and I go here every time we are in Edmonton, as Regina lacks any type pizza joint offering a brick-oven, Neapolitan-style pizza. We kept it pretty traditional, sharing a Margherita pizza with roasted mushrooms, and Caprese and Caesar side salads. Our food was all top-notch! Nothing could really be improved upon, short of making their own mozzarella in-house or using a sourdough starter to give their dough more character. However, this place is a chain/franchise and isn't competing with the best pizzerias of New York. The atmosphere is great, striking a perfect balance of casual, yet trendy. Look forward to coming back here.
