This was my first experience. While I really wanted to leave a 5 star review, a few things needed improvement.
To start, I had an incredible Insalata Caprese. Featured photos. Easily the best I've had both in flavor and in presentation. Great work chef!!
I am Celiac so I had the gluten free pasta in the seafood Alfredo sauce. I requested a notch more garlic. The dish came out and it was incredible. Absolutely I would order this again.
The fallen star come to the dessert. Sadly the gelato portions are very small and very high priced. We ordered the taramisu. It was defrosted, with a soggy base dressed in whipped cream. It was not good. The plate remined full when it was taken away.
The service was wonderful, the meal great, the desserts and selection were not good.
I'll be back but suggest more dessert options.
As an explorer, here's my spin... outside was not too welcoming with the torn awning, but the lively atmosphere inside made up for it. Service was great, pasta dishes was tasty. Reservation is highly recommended.
Tasty Tomato was in fact tasty! I really enjoyed the calamari! The sauce was delicious and the calamari tasted fresh. The fettuccine was also great! I enjoyed it thoroughly! Great local Italian spot to check out!
Everything from the Service to the Food was excellent! The gnocchi melted in your mouth, the sauce was classic, the cannelloni were flavourful, the muscles in the garlic sauce were great and so was the house merlot wine. I would also recommend trying their Tiramisu. Has someone who is Italian and has travelled to Italy I can say if you want a classic Italian homemade meal you can’t go wrong with Tasty Tomato!
We have been going here for over 20 years and it is still our favorite Italian restaurant! Joe and his staff graciously accommodated us and our kids' baseball team with very short notice! Thank you and we will be back whenever we are in town!
Delicioso! Very fresh, comforting food. Really really tasty. Looking forward to going back. Just a little echo-y in there and conversation is a bit challenging so 4 stars.
I don’t normally take the time to review places, but my experience here tonight was so wonderful I just had to give a shout out. I had a friend in town with her two littles, and I’d been wanting to try Tasty Tomato for a while, so that’s where we went.
I had a glass of house white, the Insalata Mista (salad), and one of their pasta specials; a generous seafood mix. The rest of the table had similar. They started us off with ice water and classic focaccia with olive oil and balsamic. I’m pretty sure the bread was house made as well. Everything was so fresh and well portioned, and almost no wait time. My friend’s two girls were a little rambunctious from a day spent adventuring at West Ed, but the wait staff were nothing but patient, accommodating, and gracious with our table through the whole experience.
My only complaint is that they don’t stay open later, because I’m sure we could have made a longer evening of it, since we enjoyed it so much.
Well done, Tasty Tomato!
As the photos well show we were hungry! The bruschetta is like no other in town, so tasty on a pizza bread & so easy to devour with that addictive garlic tomato blend. If you like mussels the tomato Gorgonzola sauce makes you reach for the bread to soak it up! As for the two linguine dishes well all I can say we’ll be back soon. Very friendly staff & great service!!
