Found this place by pure luck on a road trip and now every time we’re on the island, we make sure to stop by. Everything on the menu is delicious (especially the breakfast sandwich), coffee is fresh and the baked goods are a real treat! Would recommend to anyone that I know.

My sisters and I discovered this amazing gem of a foodie haven a few years ago and they have never failed to amaze us! We actually drive an hour from Nanaimo to come here for lunch periodically and it's never often enough! Thank you Tarbells for your fantastic atmosphere and incredible homestyle-meets-gourmet food. We LOVE this place!!

Delicious leek and potato soup, served with a warm, layered buttermilk biscuit. Tasty peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. A calm atmosphere. I wish there were some arm chairs to curl up in with a book. :)

Tarbell's is a Cumberland Classic. A cozy place where you go to meet your friends, warm up and enjoy the food and atmosphere. The home baked goodies are delicious. Good music selection and artists regularly display their work on the walls. I go there a couple of times a week.
