DOWN - Located in Cumberland... Which isn't your typical destination.
OUT - I'll stop here every time I come down from shredding Mt. Washy. Great food, cold beer and pinball!
We were staying in Courtenay for a few days and have been trying to find a good place for dinner. This place has super funky decor-old skis, pics, local history. More of a laid back, casual place to have a beer.
We had the chicken space nuggets (buttermilk and cornbread drenched) - the best fried chicken we've had since going to the south a few years ago. Crunchy, not greasy and generous portion of meat. We also had the smoked pork tacos (legitimately smoked and not too much sauce) which I found amazing with some jalepenos as I like things spicy. My man thouroughly enjoyed the lamb burger. Side salads were fresh and had a nice assortment of veggies and toppings in it. We will definitely be back (we may have gone there twice in 2 days).
Went for a family dinner on a Sunday evening. Not too busy, service was super friendly and quick. Dinner was very tasty - kids menu is small but we had 2/3 items and they were both a hit. I ordered something off the seasonal menu (strawberry salad) and it was really good. I think the Waverley is known more for their nightlife/music but totally met our families needs for a tasty quick dinner in a casual atmosphere.

Great food and amazing beer! I had and absolutely amazing Ruben sandwich with fries and an ice cold draught beer! They have a huge selection on tap and offer a flight of four 5oz samples!
Yo nice place, liked the whole vibe and decoration, the servers were nice too and they were playing sports on TV so thumbs up. Such an authentic poutine with lovely presentation. The pre party for Cumberland Wild was held here but unfortunately couldn't go cus got really high off K but heard it was dope and sweaty
I found out about the the history of this place was truly impressed. A lot of big bands play here. So there is a very strong cool factor to the atmosphere. The food is good. What you would expect. And the staff are efficient. No real issues. With the stop to try some of the craft beer. Worth it if you want a cool vibe.
