Far above and beyond my expectations.
Friendly competent service with excellent food. Definitely the place for breakfast in Courtenay. I had the feature, Raspberry Nutella fruit crepes. Beautifully presented and a heavenly taste sensation!

If you're going to have breakfast anywhere. Have it here!! This is my favorite place in the valley to eat. I wish they were open for dinner lol lemon dill and Chipotle hollandaise sauce is to die for. Yams Benny is amazing. Must try the huervos. I can't say enough good about this wonderful little restaurant. Even with a line up to wait for a table they are quick ans efficient. Seen a lineup out the door and have never waited longer than 15 mins for a table. Must must must try this place!!

Van Isle Foodie

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and the Hen and Hog does it right. Straight forward food with slight twists that delight. It's well worth the wait if you find yourself in the weekend line.
