First let me say, my sister and I are scratch cooks and bakers, we bake a lot. We’d recently read about Collingwood Bread and were interested in trying it out, who doesn’t love a good bakery? The sourdough bread-the best especially toasted with oozing butter and peanut butter or as a toasty grilled cheese! I bake really excellent scones, but the cranberry & lemon scones are absolutely the best scone I’ve ever had, and that’s a lot of them. Delicate citrus notes, plump cranberries, golden slightly crisp crust, good buttery layers and not too sweet, perfection. Ditto the plain and chocolate croissants, flaky and tender, I had a Parisian moment whilst eating mine. Cut it in half and shards explode of perfectly baked delight. And the lunettes (palmier), divine. These ladies know their craft! Run, don’t walk there!!! It’s a long Paul Hollywood review but such talent needs every affordable accolade! ������
Amazing bakery! Glenn and his team are awesome. All their breads and pastries are baked fresh in-house daily and it smells so incredible in there that you’ll never want to leave! It’s always a pleasure stopping here and I highly recommend you pop in and check them out. See you guys again soon!
Once again I was able to successfully use the Bakery’s Sourdough loaf and Cranberry Walnut loaf to make the stuffing to go with the family festive dinner. The breads work well for people with dietary needs. Drop by during the holidays to enjoy one of their many bakery items.
