I’ve been here twice for their lunch specials that include your own pot, rice, and a drink; jasmine green tea or red tea. You can choose the sweetness of your tea and whether you like it hot or cold. I always choose sweet iced green tea and it tastes amazing! I’ve only ordered the lamb hot and sour soup and the flavours are spot on! I highly recommend it. Service was great both visits; friendly & quick. There is a small table with 3 different sauces at the back to choose as dipping, but due to the flavour of my broth, I never needed them.
The food is delicious and there are many types of beverages to get. The restaurant is sort of small inside and there is music playing in the background. The service was a bit slow, but the staff were friendly. There is shaved ice and dessert toast for dessert. The restaurant has different types of hotpot and sells noodles as well.
Originally one of the only late night bbt or snack spots. Similar fashion to Bubblemania with a better location, but some major differences.
They tend to either run out of not have things often. And not because they are so busy I believe. I think it's because they are lazy and understaffed? That's just speculating though.
The last time I came here they had 1/5 things that I ordered :(
They have some major competition with 3QT across the street.
The drinks here are AMAZING. Best bubbletea in town! They're a little pricey and don't come with any free toppings but they are delicious. The hotpot is pretty good and is supposed to be for one, but can probably fill 2 people if you order drinks as well. Service isn't always the best. I usually get take out bubbletea because they have a stamp card only dor take-out. I sometimes get annoyed because they won't have pearls ready until 1pm even though they open at 11am. Also, I dined in once with some friends and we got 4 drinks and 2 hotpots and 2 of us ordered pearls but the lady said it would take 30mins so we said ok so by the time we got our drinks she put it in the takeout cups because we were almost done our meals but she still refused to give us the stamps for our drinks even though we were practically leaving with it. Other than the service though, their food and drinks are good.
My husband and I enjoy coming here on our casual date nights. He always order the same things, the kimchi lamb hot pot, and earl grey milk tea. I like the same hot pot but I'm always trying different bbt flavours. I had the Hokkaido Milk Smoothie today and though it was still good, it did not have a lot of taste. I think I was expecting the Hokkaido milk I had in Japan, which obviously won't compare. Hot Point serves other food too, but we've only had the hot pot. They are individual sized so you don't get to pick your toppings but everything is already in the bowl when brought to your table, and served with a bowl of rice. There is also a small sauce station where you can choose from garlic soy sauce, red bean sauce and house special spicy sauce. They can get busy but they are always friendly. Their bubbleteas are also very good.
Friends invited us to come out to this place, never been to this place before I thought it was spacious with lots of tables and couch type seating. I like how you can order individual hot pots for $11.99, my husband got the spicy beef on and there was a generous amount in the broth and then broth was quite nice. You customize your drinks with the additions you like: pearls, jelly etc and the amount of sweetness. The shaved ice was pretty big enough for a bunch of people to share. I got the taiwanese salt crisp chicken which I picked 2 sauces to dip. There is a table in the back with 3 different sauces: garlic soy, black bean and spicy sauce that you can help yourself. 6 or more ppl they automatically add 15% tip.
Tried a variety of their soups and they were delicious. Tom yum was my favorite. The flame under the pot takes awhile to burn out which results the soup being extremely hot and hard to eat and enjoy. The broth was also splattering all over the table. Only had a choice of 3 sauces and the containers (self serve) they were in did not look very clean. Service was good. Tried the mango bubble tea and it was fresh and tasty...unlike other places, mango can be tough to make.
The original milk tea here is really good. If you come during their lunch hour (before 2:30pm), you get a good deal with each Mini Hot Soup that comes with free rice and a free drink. I love the milk hot soup.
I've been here a couple times and it's not bad. Definitely the restaurant is very casual than others. The soup is a little bland but overall it's not bad.
The food and the drinks especially are good, but the service is lackluster. If you don't mind your server disappearing during your meal, you'll be fine here.
