Mother's Day I brought my parents and husband to try this Chinese restaurant as I saw the rating was 4 but didn't read the comments. We ordered 4 dishes and 3 of them impressed us as per photo! Egg plant, Beijing shrimps and fried duck(forgot the name) so I decided to leave my good comments here, but then I saw some really bad comments surprisingly. Well, from our experience, we really liked the food, at least the ones we ordered.
Family Favorite, just good old Chinese food. Nothing gourmet but straight up Chinese food. Come in with jeans, shirt and a baseball cap because you will smell like Chinese food when you leave. That's the way it should be. Not something I would eat weekly but bi-weekly for sure. I consider the ginger beef the best in town and the dumplings are made in house. My son can eat a whole large plate to himself. As for the Chinese waitresses, you have to under stand that most Chinese (most regions of China) are very blunt and to the point. If you want great super polite customer service, go to a 5 star hotel where you will pay for that service.
Fried banana's with ice cream for dessert is a nice treat, if you can fit them in.... My kids always can.
Love Leo's. We have been dining here for 23 years. Most of the waitresses have been here all along.The staff work tirelessly and for some there might be a bit of a language barrier. I love each and everyone's personality .If you have a sensitive ego you might think someone is abrupt.Get over it and enjoy the diversity. We love the food and always have the GingerBeef with extra sauce.
What a fantastic place! Welcomed at the door like old friends, and drinks served immediately. Very eager to offer suggestions and comment on the items. The food was delicious and quite large portions. Would definitely recommend and will return!
I don’t often change my reviews but this place has changed. The food is almost back to what it was 10 years ago. The buffet is still suspect but their Thai Chile shrimp and hot and sour soup are back to what they used to be.
Good Chineese, just gotta get past the abrupt service. Cozy little restaraunt, We brought our young kids here as we haven't had good chineese fir a while. Kids were welcome, staff friendly. The food was excellent, fresh, flavourfull. Service was quick but very abrupt. It took us quite a while to get our order across to the waitress as we would order a dish and she would refuse. Once we got over the language barrier, turns out that what we were ordering was close in flavour, she was trying to suggest something else. ordered the mongolian beef. when we told the waitress that there was way too much onion in this dish, it was flipped off, and we were told in no uncertain terms to try something else next time!!!

Every time I go to a big city, I look for hot and spur soup. Theirs is awesome!

I've been on the search for good Chinese food in Calgary for a long time and I think I have finally found it. Everything was extremely fresh and flavorful. I recommend the Ginger beef and general Tso chicken. Both are surprisingly tender. The only thing that would make this place better is if they did takeout in those little carboard boxes with the wire handles...
Hidden Gem. Big fan, love the pics on the wall. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's all good inside. The spring rolls are to die for, General Tso's chicken is my favourite dish.
