Arguably the best fish or shrimp tacos in the city.
We have eaten a lot of fish tacos around the city and have found some decent ones. It was recommended to us to try these and we don't regret the drive.
We ordered the $11 lunch which is two large soft tacos, fries and a fountain pop.
You have a choice of many kinds of tacos and I went for fish and coconut shrimp. They did not disappoint!
The service was very friendly and fast. The fish was not over-breaded and tasted crispy and fresh. It was sauced well and not soggy like some other tacos we have tried. The coconut shrimp with mango was to die for. Highly recommended! The fries were also so freshly fried with the exact right amount of crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
Can't wait to try the fish and chips next time.
Service here is always fantastic, let me start with that. The employees here are extremely friendly, and are very patient. It feels as if you are a friend of theirs when you come here. I really liked the classic poutine that I got here, as well as the 2pc fish and chips (there is a large portion of fish). The fish is battered well, light but not soggy. Food is prepared in less than 5 minutes if it is not busy. Yam fries are delicious, crunchy and make you want to eat a lot more. They have deals if you come in on a Tuesday (all you can eat fish). I hope that the staff never change, as the place has an extremely easy atmosphere.
Not too bad for a cheaper meal. This restaurant specializes in tacos, poutine and fish n chips, so you can't really go wrong! The server helped us with our selection to get the price down, which we appreciated! All you can eat fish n chips on Tuesday, and all you can eat fish tacos on Thursday. Check it out.
Went to Joeys Urban today July 15/2015 at lunch first time there was great service friendly staff and the manager was amazing Chad is his name. Keep up the great work will be going there again might even become a regular customer. The fish taco was amazing and so was the chicken loved the idea of cabbage instead of lettuce. Thanks for an amazing lunch. Get out and try Joeys Urban you will not be disappointed. I also do not like spicy anything so the staff gave me regular mayo thanks

Delicious! One of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Portions were great considering the price, especially compared to most places these days. Service was quick but the girls working were making rude gestures at and making fun of a homeless woman walking past which I was pretty offended by. Haven't been back to this location since then but I may go to another location for the great food. Hopefully a more professional and respectful staff work at other locations...
Really tasty. Fries were tasty. Veggies fresh and sauces good. Fish was kinda small, especially for price. Overall, pretty good and will be back again!
The vicious fish taco is the best fish taco I have had in, maybe my life. It was amazing and a must try. I will be back for more!

UPDATING REVIEW ON SECOND VISIT:
Went today and it was much better. The fish tacos were really good: messy as heck but tasty and fresh. They were busy, but service was fast. Ideally I'd like to see some healthier combos: the standard lunch combo has fries and a 20oz fountain pop, which is why I avoid places like McDonalds. But, the large amount of veg (cabbage and fresh salsa) on the tacos was much appreciated. My husband had the asian poutine - an odd concoction of the standard poutine with some hoisin sauce, sriracha, and halved shrimp dumplings. He really enjoyed it. We will probably go back. Minor quibble: price is a bit high for fast food: if they want to be a bit higher scale than McD's I reiterate the combo option is very fast-foody. That's more of a corporate thing though. They have some really interesting menu items :)

Underwhelmed. I was looking forward to this place because I love fish tacos. We tried a regular fish taco, a mahi mahi taco, and a regular poutine. The staff were welcoming and the decor is nice. The tacos were fresh and had lots of good veg, but the fish portion was the smallest I have ever had on a fish taco, and I'm taking into account TacoTime. The mahi mahi comes with cusabi -- a cucumber wasabi sauce. Sounds great but there was so much wasabi it was overwhelmingly strong and, frankly, inedible. The poutine was fresh and well made, but nothing special. The tortillas were nice and fresh and the coleslaw on the taco was nice!
