I don’t know why the rating is so low. I would like to give 3.5 at least based on my experiences. The beef rib on the iron pan was very tasty. My friend enjoyed the seafood curry. I remembered a while ago, I had a bowl of noodle, that was a bit too salty though.
The restaurant is located very close to a CTrain station. The cuisine is Korean food and the staff are alright. The Korean food is delicious and seems to be of a good quality. The restaurant is able to make changes to the food, if you ask them to and are very accomadating. The food is a bit more expensive, but worth it, because of the quality of the food. There is not much choice for dessert and if you get a dessert, they might give you a stick of an ice cream bar. The restaurant is medium sized and serves alcohol.
This place is awesome ! A Japanese Korean fusion. The food is great and so are the prices ! (Beer is a little pricey and they only have Japanese beer not Korean beer) we came with 6 people and ordered: appetizer shrimp, 2 beef bulgogi, gamjateng hot pot, steamed pork (came with a sweet sauce cabbage, fresh jalapeño and garlic to eat with it) and Chili cheese chicken. We all got rice, kimchi and salad as well. It was delicious. Lots of free parking around as well (street parking after 6pm) - it's also right on the train line which is convenient too!
Came here for lunch and luckily came before the lunch rush started.
Their menu has a good variety of Korean dishes and are reasonable priced. I had the fried mandu which was pretty standard. Also had the tonkatsu which came with two fried pork cutlets, rice, cabbage salad, pickled carrots and tonkatsu sauce. I really enjoyed the tonkatsu. It wasn't tough or greasy at all. I found the portions size is good for the price. Can't wait to come back to try their other dishes!
This is a new Korean option downtown on 7th ave and 6th St, and it is great. They have Korean favourites like Beek Bibimbap bowl, Chicken Katsu and Beef Bulgogi. It's a healthy alternative, the prices very reasonable, and the staff friendly. We'll be back!
I’m happy that Garosu has finally opened its doors.
It’s been a couple weeks now and from what I have experienced, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the prices are quite reasonable for the portions you receive. I have been to Garosu a couple times and have totally been satisfied with what I’ve ordered – Beef Bibimbap, Kalbi, Chicken Katsu …all of which I found were delicious and the size portions are just right. I’m looking forward to trying the other dishes on the menu. I would totally recommend this place for lunch, but would advise you go either earlier or later as when it’s peak time (12/12:30) they get pretty busy, but then again there is also an alternative option to order take out.
