I tried them out by chance tonight. Tired & hungry I ordered the Tom yum ramen & spring rolls to go. My truck smelled fantastic, I barley parked it before grabbing the bag & running into the house to eat. WOW was I pleased! So delicious! I will be back, many times!
Meals are yummy and staff are very friendly. Decor is fresh. We really like it here!
You pick your protein and then fill the wrap with a mixture of lettuce, basil, mint, carrot, cucumber and vermicelli sprinkled with nuts and green onion. The dipping sauce – nuoc cham – was salty and sour with only a touch of sweetness. Fishier than most Vietnamese restaurants, as my hands smelled strongly for hours afterwards. Mai said there is also hoisin and satay sauce, but I think you need to ask for them.
I enjoyed the ambiance here, it was bright, trendy and relaxed. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Ordered the sate seafood pho and what I liked the most was the sate was actually spicy and flavorful. At other pho restaurants sometimes i find the sate lacks spice. Enjoyed my food and will be back again!
Overall this is a decent place. The ramen was flavourful with a nice portion of noodles. The beef was pretty good quality and held up well to the broth. The broth is ok, and tasty. Not like dedicated ramen places, but pretty darn good. The beef noodles soup special was pretty amazing. The beef shank meat was excellently marinated and cooked. Nice blend of soft cartilage and firm meat. Rather difficult to get the preparation done properly and the flavour was very nice. Nice to have a good selection spanning different cuisines.
Love love love coming here. The place is newly renovated and super cozy. Great when you want comfort Vietnamese but a bit of ambiance as well. The food here is so incredibly delicious. The menu is quite extensive as well and offers tons of appetizers and mains. You have to try the satay beef soup and the imperial rolls.
Also known as Cuty Quán, is located in the same street mall as Rona, Second Cup and a few other fast food chains. Typically, if you were looking for authentic pho, this wouldn’t be the first place you’d check out. I looked up reviews online and they were generally positive, so we decided to give it a try. It’s a nice atmosphere and there’s lots of variety on the menu. They have a bit of everything - Vietnamese (pho), Japanese (ramen), Korean (bulgogi) and Thai (pad thai). The sate lobster pho and Imperial rolls are two special items that are worth mentioning. The staff there is nice too.
Might be top 5 best pho in Calgary. They are a little less on the meat tho. Overall pretty good, fast and broth is up there with the best. Quick service as well!
I had a good experience last week in this noodle house. The services were perfect, the server kept asking me if we were doing alright. Also, the restaurant currently has a promotion for free spring roll whenever you order 1 main item in the menu. More than that, they also give you free jasmine green tea, you just have to ask for it. I had a satay soup which I felt the best taste I've ever had. The price is reasonable with the size of the noodle bowl. As long as you love Vietnamese food, this restaurant is the best choice for everyone. Definitely will come back someday.
A good place to relax and have some quick Vietnamese food - the satay soup had a bit of kick to it, which is great, since it seems hard to find soup that's actually even a little spicy. They aren't too stingy with their meat portions either. The restaurant also offers Spring Rolls on the house per Entree ordered. They didn't have a variety of choices regarding the serving size but their offered portions fall in the medium range.
Perfect place for a inexpensive tastey meal. Lots of variety on the menu and the food is fresh and delicious. This is my new "go-to" spot for Vietnamese food in Calgary.
A pleasant surprise! We ordered the house special dry egg noodles, along with the roll-it-yourself salad rolls with fine vermicelli, BBQ pork, and minced shrimp. The salad rolls were delicious! It's always nice to find a Vietnamese restaurant that serves more than just traditional pho and vermicelli bowls (which don't get me wrong, I still LOVE).
As mentioned in one of the other reviews, the prices were slightly higher but that's because we ordered the specialty items. Definitely coming back!
