Smash Burger is a located at 25 High St SE, Calgary, which is 10 mins away from my home. It is an innovative restaurant. People can create their own burger. My boyfriend took me to Smash Burger on Saturday around the lunch time. We didn’t create our own burger, but we ordered pre-made burgers. I had a combo, which is including Smash burger, Smash sweet potato, and pop. My boyfriend ordered Calgary Burger and Oreo Milkshake. The food came out kitchen very fast. The burger was very fresh. The smash fries were very tasty. The prices of food were around $30. We enjoyed our lunch at Smash Burger.
Yummy food, I always get the smash fries, truffle mushroom Swiss burger and the Oreo milkshake. I always leave satisfied. It’s normally about $20 for all 3 of those, which is on the pricier side though.
Smashburger McKenzie Towne offers good, old-school diner food burgers despite it being a fast food joint. We ordered the black bean burger with sweet potato Smashfries, and the Calgary Smashburger (bacon and caramelized onions) with regular Smashfries. We enjoyed our burgers, and we loved the Smashfries, but I thought my black bean patty was so thin for the price! The restaurant is big, and they have plenty of tables & seats for those opting to stay. There’s also a take-out option if you’d rather eat outside or at home!
Was weary about this place after reading the reviews but went anyways and am so glad I did! The restaurant is nice and bright from the outside and has a nice hardwood interior.
The server was excellent - I wish I grabbed his name so I could tell management how great he was. He was cheery and genuine, not fake like some servers are. He said please and thank you to everyone and wished everyone a pleasant evening. Everyone could learn from him, especially those wait staff that think a tip is mandatory - this man doesnt receive tips and was so cheerful.
I ordered the grilled chicken avocado burger which was excellent. The chicken was grilled perfectly while still being moist on the inside. Lettuce, tomato and avocado were all fresh and the avocado added a rich creaminess to the burger that sent it over the top. Bacon was cooked well without being burnt and too crispy. Bun was good.
The fried pickles are a great price for how many you get. They are sliced into rounds instead of the whole or half pickle like I've seen some places do. The batter is crispy and is seasoned very well, really makes the pickles great.
Will definitely be back, and I recommend everyone to check it out.
Best gluten free buns I've ever come across! Amazing burger options! Great fries! Definitely recommend this place 😊 wish they had a drive thru though
