Their new sushi menu is very fresh and the handroll are amazing. Fresh fish and crispy high quality nori!
Ramen was decent, clean taste and lots of vegetables.

In addition, the service here is quite nice and staff are friendly as well.The broth, noodles and toppings are all delicious, plentiful and satisfying. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I came on a Friday lunch time and their packed. Make sure to have a reservation or be prepare to wait in line.

We had ordered a bunch of stuff some of which we forgot to take pictures LOL my family of hungry beasts dug in before I could get the chance. But the food was amazing. I know they had recently changed the menu and added sushi...oh my melt in your mouth tuna hellz yes! Last time we were here I didn't love it but so glad we gave this place another chance because it's turned into quite a gem. In particular we loved the Tantanmen and original pork tonkatsu ramen. I have a picky 20 month old and she gobbled it up so fast. Glad I could give her something I could feel good about no MSG but still #flavorbomb ❤ The sashimi plate we ordered was to die for. Loved the hand rolls, spicy tuna crunch roll, dynamite roll, house special roll and rainbow roll. My husband and I are big foodies and we are definitely coming back...to order the rest of their new menu! And hello their green tea ice cream rivals some of the best we tried in Japan so when you visit save room for dessert.
Stopped in for a different cuisine than I was use to. The owner from shinjuku waited on us and was very welcoming and patient in helping us figure out what to order. Definitely recommend.
Came here with my family and was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was. They had high chairs which was a big bonus. The food came out fast and was super tasty. We tried the tonkotsu spicy as well as shoyu ramen and both were delicious. They even have their own soft serve ice cream! Looking forward to going back and trying their other dishes.
Shinjuku is a straight forward noodle and ramen house in central Calgary. The meals we had were all well-prepared and tasty, were served quickly and were served by very pleasant and friendly staff who were also knowledgable about the dishes and menu. A good place for a quick meal. I tried this place as I was walking by with my friends. Great choice! Loved the Chicken! They get Skip the dishes
Went there for lunch with a coworker, the place was packed, but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. We ordered a couple of apps and two bowls of ramen, didn't have to wait too long, which was perfect as we only had one hour of lunch break. The ramen are definitely the star of the show, we ordered the chicken paiten and the tonkotsu black. They both tasted really delicious, the broth was really favorful. The apps are fine too. Server was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back there.
Flavourful, rich broth & very tender meat. Different style of noodle, but you can substitute them. Bonus: free ice cream with dinner & on weekends! Pro tip: green tea ice cream is soft serve with a potent matcha flavour yum!! (4/5)

It's nice to have good comfort food, conveniently accessible and affordable. The prices here are very affordable and cheap, especially for such an expensive lease location.
Awesome ramen place for chicken broth style ramen with thin noodles. There is clear broth and also thick broth, with miso and spicy miso options. New favorite for me!
