Finally, a new sushi place around here. Although, it does seem like this place does change hands every 6 months or so. Hopefully this one sticks. Parking in front or off to the side street, this place is located just across the 7-11 on Canada Way near Boundary.
Been here several times now. I love the crab salad (Fake crab meat salad) , their nigiri is made well, and tastes fresh. I do enjoy their salmon belly, although it is a bit oily (Ok, it's salmon belly, i know.)
Bento boxes for lunch are a good deal and range from $7.50-$10.50 , and will get you full.
Seems like it gets decently busy for lunch, a lot of take out orders while we were dining.
Reasonable prices, decent sizes. The only thing I'd like to point out is due to a lack of ventilation in the restaurant, you might come out smelling like fried food/fish. Didn't quite enjoy smelling that on me the rest of the day, but that's really the only nitpicky thing.
Decent place for burnaby, nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. A typical sushi lunch spot.
I'm quite picky about my sushi, this place really took me by surprise. Smaller place, so do takeout if you're with a group. Great quality and prices. Will be back for sure!
YOM. Fairly new restaurant right in Canada way close to boundary. Big sashimi pieces, fresh seaweed salad, lightly seasoned chicken karrage wings, crab salad with bits of fried crunchy tempura, and delicious specialty fire roll (don't worry not that spicy). Friendly staff but not that many tables. Try their chai milk tea its really good, just a hint of chai, more milk tea flavor. Highly recommended! Not one bad thing to say about this place!
May 6/16: oh man negitoro roll was delicious! Extra fatty today 👌
