Warm and friendly staff. Great spot to enjoy your ☕️. Wonderful fresh baked goods and sandwiches. A spot i stop at every visit to Burnaby.
I was having a bad morning so decided to go into Caffe Divano for the first time and everyone working there was so happy and friendly! And the customer ahead of us had passed along a gift card to pay for the next few orders. The employees were so ecstatic to pass on some joy and goodness and it just brightened up my day! And the London Fog and Lavender White Mocha were fantastic! Thank you so much for all the kindness and delicious lattes
Great coffee and lovely quiches. Super warm & friendly staff and a great atmosphere in general. A good cafe to come unwind and read a book/get some work done too!
4.5/5 My Italian friend told me that Divano means Sofa which is so funny to me - and it IS a good descriptive word for this place!Caffe Divano recently kindly invited me to come check out one of their lovely coffee shops (They have 3 locations and a new Pie Shop named after their Daughters, Gabi and Jules!). I was super stoked and was very pleased by the food and the people working there! Everyone who works there gives off warmth and were incredibly nice and helpful!
A great way to start the day is here at Caffee Divano at their busy Burnaby location, one of three locations for this chain of cafes serving artisan coffees, house made sandwiches and baked goods. Latte art is beautiful!. Feature Crostata (bottom left corner). The feature crostata with strawberries and blueberries was my favourite of the bunch. The pastry was so buttery and had a good substantial weightiness to it that held up the berries well.
After having a delicious meal at Jo Ju Tofu Hotpot a few doors down, nothing would be more satisfying than having a coffee (or coffee shop related) beverage! Even better is when the coffee shop itself is local and independent! Luckily for me, Caffe Divano satisfies both of those criteria!. Opting for my usual, I got a steamed milk (2.50). I find that the simplest drinks can sometimes be the most satisfying. It was very smooth, creamy, and piping hot. The shop has a wide assortment of baked goods from macaroons, to homemade Oreos, and they even have paninis…these all demand a separate revisit in the future.
I've been to both Divano in Coquitlam and Port Moody, and this was my first time here in the north Burnaby location. I noticed there were more people here than the other two locations, and most tables were full when I went in the store. We got a matcha latte and a seasonal maple spice latte. They both tasted kinda off to me, but I never once had a problem with the drinks at the Coquitlam and Port Moody locations. I will probably just stick with their regular latte or something if I do return next time. Since I think I still prefer the other two Divanos, as they were less crowded and quieter.
You may be someone who has made a zombie-like daily journey to the same chain coffee shop for years. But have you ever passed another more interesting café, and wondered about it? Well we used to pass Caffe Divano in our ‘hood, until today. It’s our 5th stop in our Search for Vancouver’s Best Coffee.Caffe Divano opened in 2012 in Burnaby Heights. It shares retail space below a new-ish low rise condo complex. It’s a family owned business that also has popular locations in Port Moody and Coquitlam. They have heavy competition: Starbucks, Waves, Café Artigiano, a newly opened Tim Horton’s (minutes outside the Heights) and a handful of independent cafes.
You have to try this place. All of their baked goods are made fresh on site, the coffee is wonderful and the lunch items scrumptious. Lots of wheat free options. The ambiance is suitable for studying, reading or hanging out with friends. Wi Fi signal is strong. This family run cafe is a great addition to the neighbourhood.
Nice location, great ambiance, lots of seating, and wifi!! Ordered an apple crostata = super scrumptious!
Good place to study. It is a bit pricey for what it is, but they have like 50 different kind of london fogs and I am a london fog fiend so I am allll over it. I have been here three times, each time the staff have been really nice and sweet. I like the look at feel of the cafe, both times I have gone I have been there for over 2 hours studying and whatnot and I think its pretty great. I had a sandwich today and it was okay, and some soup which was nice and hearty. Their baked goods are also pretty yummy. Its a nice alternative to the big coffee shops around so just check it out.
Finally, an awesome cafe in the neighbourhood. I've been waiting forever for a good cafe to open up around here. Sure there's Artigiano's, but they refuse to open up their wi-fi to customers (wtf?! what century is this?). Divano's is a really nice space for hanging out, as is evident from all the people here. Their machiatto isn't the best I've had, but it's good, and their prices are a touch higher than most other places, but not outrageous. And they don't have cheese cake... what cafe doesn't have cheesecake...? :) All in all, a great neighbourhood spot.
