Never had a bad meal here! Everything is delicious and great service. Also the bartender, Tyler, I believe is his name is exceptionally good at what he does. Overall great restaurant. Highly recommend.

I went here with someone and we enjoyed the risotto croquettes appetizer, the rigatoni piemontese, the lasagna and for dessert, the zucotto.
The appetizer was incredibly delicious, I highly recommend you try them. The sauces on the appetizer and both dinners were very different from one another (unlike a lot of other pasta places, where they tend to taste the same) and all were fantastic. I would suggest saving the bread to dip into your sauce (unless you prefer the oil and balsamic dip provided).
The Zucotto, was rich and moist and so very delightful.
Ate there last night, new menu around 3 weeks ago and of course delicious. Many new tasty dishes and deserts to try.
Beautiful. LOVE THIS PLACE! So romantic, relaxing and just a nice overall atmosphere. My husband and I have been here many times (and also the Spring Garden location). I used to think that the food was overpriced, but when looking at the quantity and quality of the food - I never mind spending the money. If you are an italian food lover and like to polish off your meal with a rich and decadent dessert - Il Mercato Trattoria is the place to go!
We'd go back again, and again, and again. Il Mercato is the perfect place for dates and groups alike. We have been in both situations and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both times.
The food is amazing. We both had soup to start, and it was fantastic. I then had some pasta, and Chris had pizza. Both were wonderful; I still crave it 3 months later. The service is also excellent, and their staff are friendly, and know what they are doing. They also know their menu very well, and they were able to recommend something to any desire.
The ambiance in the restaurant is great. You can tuck into a corner with your sweetheart for a nice date, or you can bring the whole family for a great meal and a good time.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good food, and we will definitely be returning!

Desserts are awesome!. The desserts are awesome. They have an in-house pastry chef that makes the cakes six days a week. I had the coconut lemon chiffon and a taste of the Zuccotto. Both were really good.
Lovely meal out for a special occasion. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Nice ambiance. Good to make reservations, busy spot. If it is cold or rainy, you can wait for your reservation in the mall connected to it.
This is one of our favorite restaurants for a beautiful dinner. Whether it's a special occassion or just a night out, you can't go wrong. One of my most favorite dishes is the risotto croquettes but I wanted to expand on the menu a bit so we tried a few different dishes this time around. Everything was stellar, the food, the drinks, the staff (always so attentive and professional and very friendly). It's a must go!

A beautiful birthday dinner on the Il Mercato terrace. Weather was perfect for being outside and the food was delicious. Would recommend the risotto croquettes to anyone and the homemade ravioli was amazing!
Had the Lamb Raviolini and the Chicken Parmigiana. Was fantastic. Service was great and felt very safe dining here as Covid protocols were all being followed.
My family celebrated my wife's birthday with a very nice and tasteful dinner at Il Mercato. The food was awesome, service was great+, and atmosphere was exactly like in Italian restaurants in Rome or Milan. Bravo 🇮🇹
We had an amazing meal here, both ordered appetizers and mains and all dishes were outstanding. Our servers were very polite and when there was a delay with our main course, we were given complementary desserts. We went wanting authentic Italian dishes and we were not disappointed. Some may complain about portion sizes but they are more like what you receive in Europe vs North America, still a good size but not over the top. I would 100% go again!
We absolutely adore Il Mercato! It’s one of our favourite restaurants in the city. The handmade ravioli is by far my fave and I almost never look at the menu knowing I’ll order my fave. Everything is handmade daily and fresh. Have never had a bad plate in my 15 years eating here.
