Me being Italian has nothing to do with this review the staff and the team at 147 are absolutely phenomenal. From the minute we walked in which we did come a little early they still seated us to the moment we walked out absolutely five star service
The food is incredible we had a mix of things and there's nothing that did not disappoint our party everything was phenomenal everything from the bread to the specialty Gorgonzola steak the team at 147 deserve praise I think this it's probably the one of the best if not the best Italian restaurants in Barrie. Went to this restaurant for the first time tonight and it was amazing!! The service was incredible, our waiter was very attentive and friendly, the food was incredible and the view of the lake front was great from our table. The risotto special was one of the tastiest things I’ve ever tried, I can’t wait to go back!!!
On march 20th 2022 we had one of best culinary experiences here at 147 Dunlop street shared with good friends. The atmosphere was bubbly & peppy with patrons smiling and conversations flowing with music in the background. The lighting was so perfect That you got to see what you were eating on your plate and the smiles on peoples faces every time they took a bite of one of our courses. The staff at the Ristorante were on the ball! They were quick attentive and had excellent listening skills because I never had to repeat myself when it came to ordering.
Saving the best for last, the chef RICHARD or Rick I must say has has put this restaurant on the map for Barrie. His culinary skills are saavy and ready to satisfy any pallet any occasion any evening
Because of his experience in the industry! If you’re looking for an excellent night on the town and don’t want to drive to downtown Toronto than this is the place for you keep up the good work!
The first dish I ever tried was the Frutti Di Mari, and it is honestly the biggest pasta dish I have had in awhile (unfortunately, I didn't get to take a picture of it) and it got me coming back to this restaurant. There is also a wide variety of seafood in it. The waiter recommended to go with a mixture of white and tomato sauce, and I am glad I listened!
What I love about this restaurant is that they don't compensate quantity with quality. Waiters and waitresses here are also very welcoming and attentive. See y'all again soon!
Fantastic meal with professional service. The staff were very helpful and very accommodating. The food was fabulous. The quality and servings were very good. The waiter was very professional and very attentive. This was my first time going to this establishment and I will return. Well done!
It is a very nice lakeside restaurant, full of people on Saturday evening. Food is wonderful. We hope to be back again in summer someday.
We had fun at this restaurant. We sat outside on the sidewalk patio. Due to covid procedures, not much tables inside. The food was delicious 😋 and the staff were fantastic. The presentation of the dishes were beautifully done, the aroma mmmm so gwud, so much texture, and layers of flavor. Yummy goodness😋 Thanks Maria our waitress. And thanks Joe from upstairs for buying us dessert 🍨 The washrooms are clean and bright. The restaurant have a dim light atmosphere with nice ambiance. Located near the lake.
