I do not think there will be, ever, any negative comments on the subject of this bakery.
relatively new spot but the ladies will be around, as a landmark to Barrie. a place that is a must do
words are not enough, but I felt it actually was an experience being at the cafe.
Was an afternoon when we last where there, and bread mostly sold out, but still busy , very busy with customers coming in who had ordered ahead, or having a lunch.
Interesting the assortment of customers coming in. Well healed, middle age, yes, older, yes, young and hip yes, family's, ladies for a coffee and treat.
I love coffee myself and was more than happy with the coffee we had. it comes freshly roasted from a roaster in Creemore, once a week.
Is difficult to decide what to order, and we do take home bread. I think it is a good idea, if you know you are coming by, to order what you want, as far as bread to bring home, earlier in the morning or the day before.
Congratulations all, on what you have brought to Barrie.
I do not think \I have ever been, and I say so sincerely, a better bakery not in New York, or Montreal, Toronto or Miami.
Love this hidden gem
We stumbled upon it last weekend and have been twice since
I could eat an entire loaf of bread to myself - the sour dough is amazing
Great coffee, local products, fresh breads
And a dog friendly patio
Wish I had discovered it sooner.
Homestead created beautiful sandwiches & salads for our surprise wedding! I am still receiving complements on how amazing the food was & to be honest I should have ordered double!! Everyone devoured the food & we couldn't have been happier with how delicious & fantastic everything was! Definitely an amazing choice for catering or everyday delicious food!!
