We had the best service at The Crazy Fox tonight. We had not only our own server but other staff and the owner come over to make sure everything was good. The staff and owner went above and beyond to ensure our experience was amazing!! The food was amazing and the service here is outstanding. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend The Crazy Fox Bistro.
It was our first visit and it surpassed our expectations. Beautiful cozy atmosphere. Two of us had the steak special which was cooked to perfection and delicious. The third person had filet mignon, well prepared, excellent taste and flavour. All meals were substantial in portions The decadent melt in your mouth desserts were perfect! There are lots more items on the menu we will be back to try out! Lucky Barrie to have the Crazy Fox Bistro!
The food was very well prepared and presented. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The armosphere was a bit crowded for my liking. The service was great. Overall prices were high for the experience. Bathrooms smell appalling.

Amazing food and service. Wife and I eat at different resturants in Barrie but none seem to compare to everything that Crazy Fox has to offer. The menu is small but the food is so incredible it keeps us coming back.
Enjoyed every bite!!!. Attended a work Christmas party for the second time. This place is fabulous! I am very reluctant to dine out since I love good food and don't usually get it at a restaurant. I would rather cook myself and use more natural ingredients. For the second time, this place had me drooling! Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. It takes a lot to impress me, and I was blown away! I highly recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp, Mushroom Soup, Filet Mignon, and Lemon Cheesecake! (even the coffee was fantastic) Our servers Leslie and Nicole were awesome and a lot of fun!

Excellent Restaurant. My girlfriend and I have been to the restaurant on several occasions and by far is one of the best restaurants in Barrie. The service, food, atmosphere is excellent. You're not rushed the food is always done the way you order it and it's hot. All the hosts and hostesses are friendly and smile and want to provide the best service they can. The prices are not unreasonable but don't expect the bill to be like a regular family type restaurant. It's well worth the price though.
What a delight.. Our first experience at the Crazy Fox was a delight, we had a warm welcoming by a very friendly hostess.. Service was amazing and so was the food, we had a wonderful time and have been back several times now, and will be coming back on Saturday for my husbands birthday.. Cant wait..
Worth the visit. We went to The Crazy Fox Bistro tonight for New Years Eve dinner. It was great!
We both enjoyed our meals (lamb, Surf n' Turf) the food was very tasty and there wasn't anything that we didn't like.
The atmosphere is pleasant and casual I didn't feel like I was over or under dressed. Great selection of wines, we were looking for a bar list, my husband likes scotch, but they didn't have any, except Crown Royal.
Overall great experience and excellent food. We will be returning.

Review of the Crazy Fox Bistro. I love fine food and have been to some of the higher end restaurants in Toronto, and all the ones in Barrie. This blows away the Barrie competition and can compete with some Toronto restaurants. I like luxury, and the place suits me. Fine meats, wines, pastas, etc. Lovely atmosphere, great staff, better food, this place is a total win. I stop by with relatives when I can. Last time I was there, I convinced my brother and grandfather to go. They originally didn't want to but they loved their meals. My grandpa commented on how skilled the staff were. They remembered his wine preferences and he was impressed. We skipped appetizers (to my dismay), but in the past we've had calamari (to die for) and ahi tuna, which is also good. They serve bread on the house and give you butter specially shaped like a spiky ball and also a special spread that varies sometimes. My grandpa ordered a steak (I can't remember which cut or the sides) but he said it was phenomenal. My brother had linguine with mussels and loved his meal. It was a surprise for him how good it was. I had duck confit and it was the best-tasting duck I have ever had. I also had a Perrier and they brought it to me in a bottle and brought a glass with lemon and lime wedges. That isn't major but it is a nice touch; I usually am just handed a bottle. We didn't have desert that night but I have in the past. The Devil's Chocolate Ice and Seasonal Berries with Ice Cream are good choices, although I had those when I was young and not as gastronomically inclined towards other choices. They have a good selection of after dinner drinks. My grandpa has had Frangelico but other than that I was too young to remember or care what else was on the menu. They serve good quality food and even the kids walk away pleased; they cook mean chicken fingers and french fries as I recall, whilst still retaining the quality. One of the very few places I have ever been to that can do this. They have a great wine cellar and have it stocked with vintages from Shafer, Dominus, and many other Napa heavyweights. They have told me they could potentially be bringing in Colgin wines as well, which is good because Colgin Cellars only sells to restaurants and waiting list customers, which could make the restaurant that much more exclusive and exquisite. No valet parking because it's not needed; a small parking lot. No cigar menu as it's against Ontario law I've been told. Washrooms are nice and clean with nice paintings.This is THE place to go in Barrie for a good time.
Food was impeccable! I had Baked Brie appetizer which was quite nice. For a main I had Filet Mignon, tender and tasty. Veggies were seasoned to perfection. For dessert I had a cappuccino and blood orange sorbet, a scrumptious blend of tart and sweet. Staff was really competent and efficient.
You must go! The Crazy Fox is an outstanding dining experience if you're in the Barrie area. The menu has been perfected over the many years this bistro has been open. The cuisine combined with the wine list, service and atmosphere make this unique spot one you will want to return to. David and his staff always make each guest feel welcomed. They also offer take out from lunch or dinner menus, known as ‘Fox in a Box’.
This Crazy Fox Bistro does not disappoint. My parents are from out of town and wanted a restaurant which had variety, good food and wasn't hectic. The food was fantastic and the service was very friendly. I had the lamb and it was fantastic. Only critiques are the fact that I'd like to see sort of crab dip as an appetizer and at least one dessert without berries or booze. The others I ate with had the Salmon special (excellent), crusted chicken (excellent), Duck (excellent) and the veal parm (excellent).
I will be back again and would recommend to anyone looking for a new spot to try out.

We were served by Kim and we were completely impressed with the service, the quality of our meal, the timing between our appetizer and our dinner... it couldn't have been any better. We noticed that all the servers were very friendly and absolutely great with people. This was the first time visit for us and we will absolutely be back.
Crazy Fox Bistro - Had reservations for Valentine's day, best evening out for dinner we have had in Barrie in a very long time. The specialty menu with three choices was fantastic, although we only had two of the three obviously... enough can't be said about how delicious and satisfying both were.
The ceasar salad was probably the best I have ever had, they should bottle and sell the dressing that is made in house.
My fillet mignon was done to perfection and absolutely mouth watering. The lamb was also top notch.
The staff was amazing and attentive to any needs, and the courses were timed perfectly.

Went for my brother's birthday. Was our first time eating here and we were beyond impressed with the quality of food and service. Everything was absolutely delicious from the drinks, appetizers to main course. Definitely looking forward to another special occasion to celebrate here.
