Even thought I particularly didn’t fully love my seafood linguini (perhaps my own taste). Will give 5 stars because of the desserts that are to die for, the friendly and fast service and great atmosphere.
We came here on a weeknight evening. Place was clean, service was quick and there was a lovely tree in the middle with soft music playing. Since there soft music and the tables were very close together, we felt like we couldn't talk above a whisper without people hearing our whole conversation- this made the experience less comfortable.
I got the seafood linguine which was tasty, but not worth $50. My husband got the the veal parm which he really enjoyed. Overall it was an enjoyable meal, but probably wont go again.
Had the mushroom risotto and bruschetta- both were very good, creative versions of classic Italian dishes. Enjoyed the atmosphere and location within the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel
I was a little nervous after reading the reviews but I can say my family truly enjoyed our meal. The service was great and food was very very good. I appreciate the vegetarian options. Eggplant and gnocchi were excellent.
The foor at Castello is pretty good, the Caprese Salad was fresh and flavorful, the veal parmesan I would say was okay it was not standout and definitely not up to the $50 price tag for it, the leak risotto was also quite good although runny.
The atmosphere is small and homey which was nice, it had a green house type vibe.
I do enjoy this restaurant, it is very good however I do think it's pricing demands more fine dining fare.
Read some bad reviews and my wife and I just left this restaurant. We both played it safe and ordered the Rigatoni. It had ground sausage with spinach and Parmigiano cheese and a Rosa sauce and was delicious. A bottle of our favorite Italian wine, Masi Campifiorin at $65 made for a tasty meal. The menu changes often. They no longer have chicken parm, spaghetti or the corn ravioli but I'm sure the other offerings will be good. Our service was excellent and our meal arrived quickly.
Beautiful restaurant. Love the atmosphere and the food was amazing! The waiter was super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended if you're looking for a chic Italian restaurant.
