Another great Earls, serving consistently good food you would expect from other Earls location. Service was a bit slow even though it wasn’t busy. The best part of this location was that it still had the Californian pizza on their menu whereas all the other locations don’t anymore!!!! I was super excited and ordered it, and it was everything I remembered! Shrimp, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, cheese and fluffy light pizza crust - deliciousness! When in Banff, I will come again to enjoy this mouth watering pizza! Hopefully they don’t remove it from this location’s menu.
First Earl's we visited and good experience,Earl's is must visit place in Banff and other locations in Western Canada, rye which is like local whisky one must try
After an unexpected long drive to get to Banff due to highway closures my boyfriend and I set up camp and had no desire to cook so went to Earls because we love it back home. This location was great to and staff was awesome. Happy hour starting at 9 everyday is also the best. Steak and sushi and Hunan king pao are favorites and tasted great.
Not too different than any other earls. It's nice how the bar and the restaurant are separated by a whole floor so if you're looking for a quieter meal, you can have it. Boyfriend enjoys their pasta and I enjoy their vegetarian burger. They are a bit pricy though.
We enjoyed eating at the Jasper location so much that we decided to go for it again in Banff. The room was a little too noisy and very cold (the host said she could do nothing about it) and the view was far from the amazing landscape we had a few days before, but the food kept us happy. It is also a little more expensive.
The service was nice and helpful, but not too assisting which I actually appreciate, as an european.
The food was great as before - we ordered salmon and kung pow yet another time and also a very filling warm kale salad and two burgers. Everything was delicious and came in very decent portions.
Food is expensive in Canada, but this place is definitely value for money relatively to most other places I have been to in Alberta.
Typical Earls joint except this location has spectacular views 🙌🏻🏔 They have a very classy, spacious interior.
The food, however, is the same as at any Earls chain. Nothing exceptional here food wise. They do offer half portions for kids and a grilled cheese sandwich 🍞🧀 (not on the menu). My son ordered the grilled cheese at this location and it was hard as a rock (pic below)! So terrible that we sent it back. Most other Earls know how to make a grilled cheese sandwich at least. They did make him a chicken tenders dish that was much better and didn't change us for either. Great management! (Seeing as how I had to chase a server down just to let them know about the problem). The service was somewhat friendly but very inattentive. I always get the Kung Pao which is and was consistently good.
This earls is particularly nice because of course it's in Banff and we sat upstairs beside the window facing Banff ave. We came in a busy Saturday night. Ordered our drinks, but they had ran out of the beer my husband and his friend wanted (Stella), than another second choice beer they asked for they also ran out off. I can't remember now which one it was. So they ordered a beer the server recommended but didn't like it. Our food was delicious, even though we wanted to start with the sushi appetizer but they ran out of that too. We ordered the calamari instead, the Mediterranean pasta and a grilled chicken caesar. It was all tasty. Other than them running out of our favs it was pretty good.
Ribs were cooked great! Meat just fell off the bone! The Mediterranean linguine was good too! Also tried the fettuccine Alfredo and cedar salad! Everything was tasty and fresh!
Peach Bellini's were on special for just $4 and on Wednesdays they offer 1lb of wings for $7.50 after 3pm!
No More Gluten For This Newton
+3.5
I don't tend to visit mainstream restaurants too often, but this is a good spot to meet friends in Banff.
Hot chocolate and Baileys were amazing. The Santa fe (i think) salad was pretty good too.
I am very disappointed of the amount of gluten free items available on the menu.
They have "gluten aware", but none of it is celiac friendly. So, salad it is.
I don't think I'll visit an Earls again, until they update their menu.
I've been to Earls uncountable number of times and the one at Banff is one of the Earls I love the most. Its right in the middle of the town center, you will not miss it. It's on the first floor so if you're lucky you might get a table by the window so you can see the beautiful mountains and the Banff town. The severs are usually international, and they're really nice and polite. I usually get servers who have come from Australia for summer hospitality internship. Service is great and food is always good! very reasonably priced.
Great location and service. Lots of options on the menu. We visited during happy hour between 3-6 pm and the place was busy! We were seated upstairs and we enjoyed the view and drinks.
I have been to Earls in different cities but I must say the customer service over here was the best.
Our server was very detailed in explaining what we were ordering.
Quality wise the food was really good, especially the chicken burger. I believe it was the Nashville burger.
I would definitely come back.
Also the 5% tax makes you want to order more lol
Great location, great view, staff are super dynamic and friendly.
The cook on the egg Benedict and steak wasn't the best (both overcooked) unfortunately.
Overall a nice place for gatherings.
Fave happy hour in Banff! We were so lucky that Grant was our bartender when we came in - he recommended one of the best dark beers I've ever had AND the sushi tacos (I also had the HH burger + fries - would totally order it all again). Service was fast, the food was delicious and we had a great time talking with Grant about his travels as we set off to our next destination. He had some great recommendations for us, which made the whole experience top notch. Thanks Grant!
I would absolutely go back the next time I'm in the area. Cheers!
(Important note: at the time I visited, the HH at the Banff location was 3-6, but Jasper was 3-5, so take note if you plan to visit them both!)
What a great Happy hour experience. I recommend the happy hour from 3-6pm. The prices are great, for food and drink. The portion sizes are great too.
Our server Julie was absolutely fabulous! Very personable, recommended great drink options and gave us some advice on shopping. The Watermelon Slush is my new favorite drink. There is a seat yourself area on the main floor and the traditional restaurant is upstairs. We sat on the main floor and people watched. We'll be back again!
Nice and clean place with bar at the first floor and restaurant on the second floor. Average price. Good place for quick lunch.
We were in Banff celebrating My loves 50th Birthday. We had 6 different dishes all was amazing. Walk in amazing welcome after we were leaving there was appreciation 😊
Lunch here amazing we loved food and service 😋 Better than Keg caribou
