I love the Pub portion part of this place. It is friendly place with sports on the. The staff are awesome. The bartenders can make awesome drinks. They even do a proper whisky sour. If it is a nice absolutely check out the patio. Amazing views!
So there's a pub part (downstairs) and then there's a restaurant part (upstairs). I didn't realize but the pub part has the sausage platter, but when asked about it at the restaurant, our waitress said that they could serve it upstairs at the restaurant too. Cool! The pub seems to also have chicken wings and bratwurst.. but I didn't ask about these.
We also ordered the schnitzel with the cheeses on top. Both the sausage platter and schnitzel dishes were executed great. Also has the pretzel - the mustard was awesome.
Dessert was also fantastic. I knew I had to get the black forest cake. It's quite different.. had a lot of whipped cream. Apple strudel was also heaven. Both desserts were huge - I think one should be shared by two people.
Julie, our waitress, was great. She was knowledgable, super attentive and knew what she was doing. I'd totally go again in a heartbeat.
It was good, but not great.
A lot of filler accompaniments, we had to ask for extra fruit and vegetables repeatedly and the entire plates that come with the dish have like two strawberries and two vegetables.
Otherwise it was just an overload of potatoes and an overload of generic cake.
It was a fun experience, and the restaurant itself has a great comfortable aesthetic.
Simple, delicious...not sure what else you'd expect. If you're coming here for the desserts you're wasting your efforts, . You're here for the German style ambiance and food, just order an extra scooner in-lieu of the dessert, thank me later. Plenty of other dessert places around town.
We had such a great time eating fondue. We had the main fondue course and also the dessert course. So much food! Managed to finish all of the dessert though! Out server was so wonderful. Getting here was a bit difficult. Parking was hard to find, but we managed.
Great spot to grab a beer and a snack. Extremely friendly staff with a great view of the mountains. Great German beer as well. Worth a visit!
