Late lunch on Sunday was at Boom Breakfast. It was still relatively busy, and we had to wait a couple of minutes to wait for a table to be cleared.
SWBMO selected the Chicken ‘N Waffle. It starts with a fresh, single Belgian waffle, cut into quarters. Then they add 3 chicken tenders, with a crispy, breaded coating on the outside. On top they drizzle a warm maple butter. SWMBO commentes that the plate looked a bit barren, and that it could have used some kind of garnish or colour. Also, it could have used a bit more of the sauce.
I chose the High Energy Omelette, with a side salad instead of fries. It also came with a little bit of friend. I like mushrooms, caramelized onions and roasted red peppers, and the turkey chorizo gave it a mild kick. It was tasty, but a tad dry.
Service was pretty good. They use a team approach for keeping coffee topped up and the dishes cleared.
My sister and I go to Boom ( Woodbridge) at least 2-3 times a month. It's our favourite breakfast place. I always get with the Tuscan Sun or Farmer Gianni omlete. The food is always fresh and service is great!!
Went last Sunday for the first time, other than it being super busy I loved it! Crunchy French toast was amazing ! I will definitely be coming back a lot more often.
