Stopped in here for some takeout on the way home from work. Heard from a colleague the Korean fried chicken is fantastic so I thought I'd give them a try.

Ordered some Korean spicy chicken, Korean fried chicken, stir fried rice cake and a seafood pancake. The chicken was definitely tasty and totally worth the visit. The rice cake on the other hand was a bit over seasoned. The sauce simply over powered everything in the dish, though the ramen noodles was an interesting touch! The seafood pancake on the other hand was a bit bland and could use more seafood.

The restaurant is nicely laid out but somewhat dim. They appear to have rooms with which you can rent by the hour for karaoke.

My only complaint about the visit was the time it took for the food. Despite putting in the order ahead of time, I still had to wait 20 minutes. The chicken however was good and I will come back.

Been here a couple of times with my group on late nights. Whole Fried Chicken, and clam soup are my faves. Ventillation is a major issue. When you go inside, its like stepping through another dimension, you can smell the grease as soon as you step through the doors. You will leave smelling like grease, be warned.

Love the KFC Chicken and braised pork belly. Owners seem to be nice people. Next time I'll get the chicken wings after hearing they were great as well.

Pints Empire is an eclectic and fun Korean restaurant serving pub style cuisine. While I was not enamored by their soup and noodle offerings, their excellent fried chicken made up for that in spades, just make sure to get the BBQ variant. Certainly a change of pace from the regular Korean restaurants in town and worth a trip with a group of friends, a good time and hilarity is almost a guarantee.

Have been wanting to come to this place since my friend mentioned it to me a month ago. Really good food. Service was excellent. My favorite was the sangyeopsal. Only downer is that it was a bit of a drive from where I live. But for sure will return.

This place has amaZing flavor. Their dishes are equivalent to those of NYC and LA. The couple is very nice and accommodating. They want to tell you how to eat the dishes and talk you through on what sauces to order for the wings. I was so happy to bite into a crunchy chicken wing even with lots of sauce on it. Best wings in Winnipeg period. Even better, they're Korean wings, but you can order spicy, just fried, sweet, or even sweet and spicy where it's half and half. Omg, I can't contain the excitement I have now that I've discovered this place.

I ordered the wings and seafood with rice cake (dduk bokki). The menu is all in English so if you're like me and know your Korean dish names, just look at pictures to relate the dishes. The seafood was so fresh and perfectly cooked. There's squid, shrimp, mussels, blend of crunchy veggies with the rice cake... And to my surprise two sides of noodles that came with it! It was a huge plate definitely worth the price. He came to my table and stirred the noodles into the sauce and explained to me that it tastes better in the sauce--I agreed!

I can't rave be enough about how fresh their food was. How much flavor each bite had.

Surprisingly they open until 1-2am everyday. The restaurant has a lot of tables and is decorated very fancy and modern. They have private karaoke rooms that you can fit probably 20 people each in and order food in there as well. Great for private parties. The ambiance is nice with a variety of English and Korean pop songs playing as well as a huge projector with videos in the second dining room.

Highly recommend for Korean food, wings, or karaoke.

Best Korean Chicken Wings! Ask for half-half regular and spicy. Definitely not a cheap joint. The owner is super friendly but he always try to upsell you some additional stuff (and more expensive dish) ha. Can't blame him for trying. It's a business after all ;D.

The only place you should be getting fried chicken in Winnipeg!

While I was in South Korea, I ventured to many different fried chicken places and in Winnipeg this satisfies my craving for KFC (Korean Fried Chicken)!

The hours may seem a bit weird but it's because South Korea's night life is booming and most places don't open until the evening. However if you ever venture here on weekend evenings you'll see this place packed with Korean University students eating chicken, drinking beer and shooting soju.

I do have to say, the music is horrendously loud and the language barrier is pretty significant. However I counter that with sitting near the windows, away from the speakers and pointing to the menu to exactly what I want and without tedious questioning. (If you're still unsure, ask the Korean University student beside you for help on ordering, they'd likely be more then happy to help!)

We checked out Pints Empire last week to try the KFC Korean Fried Chicken.  We walked in around 4 and it was empty inside.  We took a quick look at the menu and decided to go for the whole chicken (half spicy / half normal) and the spicy pork.
The fried chicken was VERY good!  I've had Korean style fried chicken before but with a different type of breading. This is more traditional fried chicken style, double breaded, perfectly crispy and not greasy at all.   They also served it with cubed Korean radish, very similar to daikon but a little different in taste.  The chef let us know this was to be eaten with the chicken to enhance the flavor, which it definitely did! The spicy pork was a little greasy but just as good.

I only have two complaints: the music was a bit too loud, especially since we were the only ones in there.  I'm sure it would be less noticeable if it was packed.  The second being the language barrier.  We originally asked for take out, I don't think they understood and we were stuck eating there, which luckily worked out.  I also had said no to rice, because I wanted to make some at home.  After the food arrived I asked for rice, but it never came.  Obviously if you can speak Korean this won't be an issue. ;) Otherwise very good food and I hope to try more in the future.

I have only been to Pints Empire once, and that was to specifically get their KFC or Korean Fried Chicken (not to be confused with Colonel Sanders). I only discovered this place after having heard it from a Korean co-worker of mine. Restaurants like these are hard to come across, unless it is by word of mouth.

When you arrive there, just by looking at it from the outside, you would not think it was a Korean restaurant/lounge. You cannot see the inside of the place through the windows. However, they now have some pictures of Korean food placed on their windows to indicate to people that there is indeed Korean food here.

Going in, you'll here Korean music playing. On one side of the restaurant is the dining area, and on the other, it is more of a lounge, where you'll here people talking loudly and drinking. If you cannot stand it being noisy, then this may not be for you.

We were greeted by the staff who gave us a menu and sat us down. We told them that we were planning on ordering take-out. The menu is small, and by looking at the menu above, it looks like they've expanded a bit more. We ordered a whole Chicken, but cooked two ways: original and spicy (yangnyeom). The best thing about Korean Fried Chicken is that it's not overly battered and it is double fried, to attain that crispy outside and juicy on the inside.

While we were waiting for our food to be cooked, they gave us water and some snacks to eat while we waited (now that's customer service)! Once we went home, the chicken was still crispy. Both were very delicious, and they also give you some pickled white radish, which always comes with Korean Fried Chicken, and was really good as well.

Overall, fried chicken was very good, customer service was excellent, and price wise, a bit expensive, but totally worth it in my opinion. I plan on returning to try their other dishes, especially the pork belly, and definitely to order the fried chicken again.
