Went here on a whim for the all-you-can-eat lunch without checking the reviews. There was only one server, she was friendly and attentive. The sushi rolls were great. Rice was not mushy or over cooked and the fish was fresh.
Not sure what all the hate in the reviews is all about but our experience was fine. Not surprisingly, we went to with the 16.99 all you can eat option at lunch time (which actually extends to 330, even on Saturdays). Mr. Hitter loves his sushi and Mrs. Hitter only likes to have on the odd occasion. There were plenty of options aside from sushi rolls and we had several items including rolls, tempuras, appetizers and sushi "pizza" (which sadly there was only one variety of). We are by no means sushi connoisseurs but everything tasted fresh and good. We wouldn't say it was amazing but it was definitely good and also good value for what we paid. Service was prompt and friendly and the restaurant was quite busy especially for an off-time to go so they must be doing something right! We would return.
Not going to lie, I haven't been posting much lately because I have been sitting in my room hermitting. This Summer has been hectic and with everyone going back and forth for vacation and whatnot, I haven't really had a chance to see my friends. There's this understanding between us that we don't need to see each other all the time to maintain this friendship, but really it's because we're either too jetlagged to leave the house or we'd simply rather be in pajamas. #lazy
I’ve started trying to work my way through River Heights on my Zomato profile. My goal is one day to be an expert in every Winnipeg neighbourhood (vanity, I know). It’s a slower process then I hoped, but with visits to my mom and occasional stops at CMU, I’m getting there. I visited Freshii recently, and have also managed to make a couple of stops at BIMI Korean-Japanese restaurant in the same mall.
Very good!. Love BIMI! Very good service and nice cozy restaurant. They have a button on the side of the table for quick customer service. The sushi is okay but I usually go to BIMI for their Korean dishes. Their korean dishes come with side dishes (kimchi, pickled radish, ). Their kimchi is really good! My top dishes have to be their gamjatang, bibimbap, and their lunch sets which are huge! I found their bulgogi interesting because it's served with glass noodles and broth.. (Im used to bulgogi on a sizzling plate and less saucey). Nevertheless i still really liked it!
Good Korean food. If you like Korean food you should check this place out. We were pleasantly surprised by the free accoutrements that preceded the meal which included a bowl of kimchi, some cubed radishes and tempura yams. For the main course I had a delicious spicy pork belly dish called Jay Yook. The decor was very pleasant, lots of traditional Japanese and Korean decorations, and cute pictures of Korean pop stars on the walls. I enjoyed my first experience at Bimi and look forward to going back to try more.
Service was good and the Korean food was great!!!! Highly recommended.
Best All You Can Eat in Winnipeg. My wife and myself have gone to Bimi probably 100 times at this point. We owe them this review. The all you can eat menu is a steal. So many choices of amazing fresh sashimi and appetizers. This place is the real deal for 65$ + tip, 2 can eat as much amazing sushi as you would want. Whenever we want sushi we go to Bimi now.
If your a fan of tuna you need to try the tuna tataki or for something different try the seafood motoyaki.
thank you Bimi
A tad overpriced but mexi roll is really great!!!!!
This place has the greatest Korean dishes. If you r craving for good Korean food and Japanese sushi, highly recommend BIMI.
