Sushi One is a must go place for Korean & Japanese food!!! I love their spicy pork dish and rib bone soup. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

We kind of stumbled on this place accidentally a few Sundays ago...Really good food and friendly staff. The prices were decent for what you get. I will eat here again!

Tried this place out at 8:00 on a Monday with the husband. Currently pregnant so unfortunately I couldn’t try anything actually raw but still had some fantastic rolls. The place was clean and the decor was nice. Staff was very friendly but we were the only ones there. It also smelled great, which isn’t something you usually associate with sushi restaurants. It’s also half Korean so I think maybe that had something to do with it. Was very pleased to get the complimentary miso soup and salad before our food started to come out. It is on the pricier side compared to other restaurants in the area but each roll we tried was very fresh tasting and didn’t skimp on filling. Also, i think because you get the soup and salad beforehand you don’t need to get as many rolls to fill yourself up. We also had the gyoza before our rolls came out which is a favourite of my husbands. It was a hit. The filling was very flavourful and the sauce it came with was very nice and subtle yet had great flavour as well. After we were done eating the server also brought out a sliced up orange which was really nice and thoughtful as it cleansed your mouth. This may even be my new favourite sushi spot. Can’t wait to go back.

3725 Portage Avenue Winnipeg, and it has some unique items on the menu. Sushi One is both Korean food and Japanese food in a small Resturant but sure has some awesome dishes. Was just expecting the usual sushi place when we drove up to the restaurant. But it was a really nice place to eat and the serving staff and food were amazing and prices were reasonable. Would go there again in a flash

Tried Sushi One for the first time as its in our area and open pretty late. Hubs and I were craving sushi so decided to give this place a try.
We ordered tuna gomae, sushi pizza, the spicy combo (spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy California roll), yummy salmon roll and and deep fried roll.
Sushi pizza here is a thin rice crust which was very nice because the toppings (salmon and avocado) held up better and there was a nice crisp. Do I think it was worth $7.99? Not at all.
The tuna gomae was tasty but like anywhere I always think there should be more for the price you pay. Love me some tuna gomae! $7.99
The yummy roll and deep fried roll were delicious. $11.99 - $12.99 each - a little bit more for these speciality rolls but I will say they were tasty.
The spicy combo wasn't what I expected. I thought they would be 8 piece rolls but were 6 piece rolls, so smaller than we thought and not much filling inside. Taste was good.
The complimentary salad was nice to throw in.
Do I think this place has potential? Yes. I do think it's a little bit pricy compared to other sushi places in the area (StJames/Assiniboia) though.

LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE..my son and one of my co workers love the sushi,,my son loves the spider roll and i love the tako yaki,,the place is clean and very friendly people,, great prices for what you get,,,highly recommended..5 stars from me.
My friend and I visited this restaurant yesterday as we were looking to try a new sushi place in the area. When we got there we were the only ones there. It was nice decor and very clean. The menu is beautiful with a lot of pictures and plenty of options. You receive complimentary salad and miso soup before your meal which was nice! My friend ordered the spicy combo and I have a yummy salmon roll and a beach roll. I enjoyed everything. Although a bit pricier than other sushi places in the area definitely worth your money!
Service is great! You get miso soup and salad as starters before your meal. The salmon sashimi is exceptional and the sushi rolls we've tried are all great! Highly recommended
Stopped in to this little gem way out in Westwood Crestview area. Has some tables for sitting. But no sushi bar sitting. I stopped in to order to take out. Great selection and they were super quick. The restaurant was extremely clean and i also saw into the kitchen area. Furthmore the sushi was awesome. They were very polite and even three in a small side salad too for free. Prices were average but nice to see a good sushi resturants down this way. The rolls were awesome. Very full of veggies and fish and the sauces were great. Good size rolls but i wish it had a bit more massago on them. The wasabi was super hot which was great. I got the deep fried yam roll. A shrimp roll and a scallop roll that hard deep fried chips on top. Cant remember the names as it was a couple of weeks ago. But i cant wait to go back.
Solid sushi, fast service and good prices. Well worth a try! Everything tasted fresh and if I’m in the neighbourhood again, I would come back. However, at least the rolls I tried (black dragon and kamikaze), were nothing to write home about, and I probably won’t take a special trip to come back.
Amazing sushi! I always get the veggie caterpillar roll and deep pepper roll and they’re always a 10/10! Their tempura is good too. As a vegetarian, it’s nice to have fancy options for sushi since many places don’t. The deep pepper roll is one of the best rolls I’ve ever had! It’s a bit pricy and takes some time to make, but it’s worth it. The rolls are big!
Highly recommended! We tried their sushi for the first time, and it turned out amazing! Try their Korean dishes as well, you won't be disappointed!
We had Deep Pepper, veggie Caterpillar, AAC roll, spicy Salmon roll, and yam tempura. Everything was perfect we kept going from one to the next, not sure which our favorites were because everything was so good. Highly recommend. Courteous and responsive staff made an excellent and delicious meal.

I absolutely love this place , it is a hidden gem , the sushi is amazing and their Korean food was a delightful surprise. The meals came with lovely misco soup and some lovely side dishes . I would highly recommend dining here !

Very delicious and Korean authentic cuisine. Never disappointed and will definitely go there again when revisiting Winnipeg.

Located in a strip mall off of portage ave. Near the perimeter hwy. This pleasant restaurant is found. Small, yet bright and decorated well. Staff were very polite and brought excellent service. Food was delicious, it also came with a small individual salad and soup. And also an orange to finish off. Which was a pleasant surprise. Menu varied from different sushi to different types of Korean dishes. We went the sushi route this time around. But will definitely be back to try out the Korean dishes. Excellent place to try out if you are hungry and are in the area.
