Cafe La Scala - Winnipeg - Photo album

Absolutely terrible experience. We went tonight for Valentine's Day, the owner was having some kind of meltdown. Was shouting the entire time, being rude and condescending to his staff and making the customers incredibly uncomfortable. There were 2 waiters working, one had only been on the job 1 day
Made a reservation on Open Table and we were treated to a fantastic night out. The owner (also doubles as the chef and server) was informative, prompt and attentive. Food was excellent! Such a great little hidden gem.
We booked reservations online early to go to the movies. We received confirmation but when we arrived they had no idea we were coming. It was just the chef there. He was "strange, excentric". We all stood around debating whether to leave or not. But because we didn't have enough time to find another
This was my first time trying Cafe La Scala. The owner was super relaxed and you could tell he really loved his food. He asked us what we felt like eating and would make something special just for us off menu. The service was great and the food was superb! Great dining experience!
We loved this restaurant. It didn't have the most stylish or classy decor but the food was top notch. And the owner is an absolute card who gives everyone his best.
We went early and were the only ones there. Owner was very personable and welcoming. Food is great - the sauce on the dumplings is a must try. Will go again.
I practice regularly on their pool table, which is free, so whenever they're open & you feel like avoiding society, you can go knock the cue ball around a little bit. The place is a lower-ground establishment, so it tends to go unnoticed on regular weekdays & Sundays.
3rd year in a row we stopped in for a Anniversary drink with our friends, Awesome atmosphere and love the bar top that is lit up
