i can't believe the low rating! ..  everytime i go to perkins lately I really enjoy it! ... a few years ago i would have given it 1* .. but the last year or so they have really kicked up the service and food a notch or two! :)  ... oh and i ordered from skip the dishes once...    it was one of the best skip restaurants ive ordered from!

Breakfast for two. The breakfast was what you would expect from a chain restaurant. A little pricey for a simple breakfast but we both left satisfied. The decor is what you could expect from a grandmothers house with a homey but out dated feel. The carpet was well worn, the paint and wallpaper was peeling and the windows had finger prints. The staff was friendly with fast service, and only a 15 minute wait for a table. Sunday at 10:30am is their busiest time and 15 minutes is a reasonable wait time. The coffee was fresh and came with your own personal pot at the table, so no waiting for re-fills. We both ordered the Classic Eggs with kielbasa and shredded hash browns, Missy had marble rye toast and Cheech had pancakes. The nice part about Perkins is you have an option of toast, pancakes or a muffin. The sunny side up eggs were a little under cooked, but tasted good anyways with a little salt and pepper. The Kielbasa was tasty but small portion, defiantly not up to a Winnipegers standard. The pancakes were the best value for the price of the meal and came with your choice of three delicious syrups, our favorite being the orange colored one. The marble rye toast was thick and fresh with a good selection of jams at the table. The bill came to $26 for basic breakfast for 2 and $19 with the coupon. I feel $26 is a little steep for breakfast and coffee so look for a coupon!
