My favourite. This place is just great all around. Love the staff, love the food, love the prices. This place just can't be beat.

Ordered the California Tempura Roll, Alaska Roll, Unagi Roll, Firely Roll and the Hurricane Roll it was all excellent. Fresh fish and good amounts of filling, not just rice like some places. I will definitely order again particularly because the prices were good.
Love this place! Our server is always so friendly, food is delicious and reasonably priced, rolls are decently sized. Tried a bunch of special rolls, and they were all so creative and tasty! Definitely one of my favorite sushi joints.
Friendly service, great food.. This is our favourite little sushi spot. We get takeout several times a month, and it is always delicious. The owners are warm and friendly. We have just started trying other things on the menu, and tonight, the beef ramen soup was fantastic. Just the right level of spice, tasty noodles and great serving size. Enough that I ate until I was full and have lunch for tomorrow. Highly recommended!
Very friendly owners and fresh fish, however, I was not impressed with the size of the avocado maki and salmon maki rolls. They were way too small.

My parents heard about Kudara Sushi from CBC radio and they suggested me to have a dinner at Kudara.
We ordered few sashimi and nigiris with three of house rolls and one special roll which was the server's suggestion.
it was Kudara Roll. she said it is one of their new special roll.
I really liked it!!! (little bit spicy but i could handle it :) )
it was sunday night and their was 2 of other tables we were satisfied with
lady(server)'s nice service and she were really kind!! smiles all the time :)
I strongly recommend this wonderful place of sushi restaurant winnipeg.

Kudara is Back!. Kudara is back and better than ever. Before Kudara changed owners 7 months ago, it was one of our absolute favorite sushi restaurants in Winnipeg. The new owners (who are incredibly friendly) explained that they had a bit of a rocky start when they first took over. Customers were complaining that several of the dishes just weren't tasting as good as when the restaurant was run by the previous owners. She explained that she, her husband, and her son took the feedback very seriously and spent an incredible amount of effort and time "fixing" the specialty rolls to match long-time customers' expectations -- and I've got to say, they've done it.
The sushi rolls we had tonight were amazing. All of our old favorites were just as good as they once were, and in a few cases even better. The new menu appeared to contain all the items of the old menu at similar prices, plus several new additions. The new owner acknowledged that they've lost a number of long-time customers because the sushi just wasn't up to par when they first took over. But after 7 months of retooling, they've more than recaptured the magic of the old Kudara. Not only is the food once again just as good as it once was, but the interior looks better than it ever did, and now feels much more welcoming than the old "take-out-only" atmosphere.
I urge you to take a second look if you thought the quality had dropped since changing owners. After having lived in Japan for three years I've eaten my fair share of top quality sushi, and have tried most if not all of Winnipeg's most popular sushi restaurants. I can safely say that if you're a fan of sushi rolls done up in new and unique ways like Kudara was once popular for, then you absolutely need to treat yourself at the new Kudara.

Delicious!. Kudara sushi is a little restaurant next to seven-eleven. On the outside it looks like a little decent restaurant, but don't judge this book by its cover. This restaurant serves amazing delicious sushi for a very cheap price! The service is fantastic, they are the nicest people ever! I have never waited long for my sushi from there! This is an amazing restaurant that I would recommend to any sushi lover like me! I would suggest the California roll and the yammi yammi roll! If you want to try something new get the white dragon roll! Yum!
Had Rainbow platter, Ebi, and Unagi. All fantastic. The staff was clearly bored though.
I'm a regular custumer at Kudara and i definately recommened it!!! My favourite roll the california roll which i get every time! Sushi Kudara is a FANTASTIC place to get cheap delicious sushi! Everyone there is sooooo nice! It's odd that it's by a 7-11 and gas station but has great sushi! In fact, I think I'll go order something now! :D
Kudara sushi is a very clean, small restaurant with extremely friendly staff. The environment is nice, especially the pictures and decorations on the wall. The Montreal roll I had ordered was delicious. The bakudan was a bit salty for my taste but it was amazing as well. The prices were fair and I would definitely recommend this place for a nice lunch or dinner.
We LOVE this Sushi restaurant. It's family owned and they are amazing. It is probably the best sushi I have had outside of Vancouver. And I love the Bimi Bap! Yum 😊
We now always take pictures of our plate and will change 2 of our selections each time to keep learning the menu. Great flavours.
Very good! My husband ordered Korean fried chicken and couldn't get enough of the house made bbq sauce, all rolls were delicious! My son got special kids chopsticks which made the dining experience extra fun for him! Highly recommend
My favorite sushi place in the city! The owners are super friendly, the location is small but it's very clean. The atmosphere is very pleasant as well. I come here at least once a month. The Firefly roll is my favorite!
The owner is always so nice and the food is great. One time she held our baby so we could eat and most recently we had amazing miso soup.
Have had takeout a few times in the past year. Great sushi with lots of variety--they've put some effort into creating some unique rolls (e.g., "Red River"). Personally I like the volcano roll, which comes with sashimi and hot sauce. The Korean food is great too--we've tried the bulgogi and bibimbap--they make their own hot sauce, which is delicious, so load up. The owners are friendly and you can tell they care about their craft. Heads up: Place is small and only one sushi chef, so if a few orders come in simultaneously it can take a while for the sushi to come out; we've learned to call ahead and not just order/wait.
This is one of my favourite places for sushi. The restaurant owners care about your experience and the sushi is fantastic. This is a small hidden gem on Academy Rd, that's for sure. I recommend this to anyone who likes sushi.
