Had the falafel sandwich.
Lots of crunchy falafel.
Tahini, vinegary hot sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled turnips, in a pita.
Falafel less balls and more crunchy filling. Very deep, tasty fried spicy flavour.
The falafel balls kind of stay on their side while all the wet, tahini soaked salad toppings stay on theirs which is fine by me; both sides being delicious in their own right.
Service was great too!
Shawarma Time on the corner of Ellice Avenue and Sherbrook Street is one of the oldest Shawarma places in Winnipeg. Despite having lived in the area for the best part of 13 years, I’ve only gone in a couple of times over the years. The main reason for not stopping in was that although the food was quite good, I found the place to be a little on the run down side, and not a particularly pleasant space.

One of my favourite shawarma restaurants in the city. The staff are quite friendly, and the food is delicious.
The choice of spicing is really quite nice, and I really enjoy both their wraps and samosas. Their tamarind sauce has a very subtle but desirable flavour - it is neither too sweet and not too thick - it is just right. The samosas have a really good pastry shell texture, and have a lot of filling.
Their kebabs have a very nice spicing to them, and the vegetables they use seem quite fresh. Everything has a homemade quality to it, which is quite delightful. The sauces have a strong flavour, but they are not overpowering. I feel they use pretty good ingredients, and the taste of their food is quite consistent from visit to visit.
The overall decor and washrooms could perhaps do with a little renovation, but that would be my only criticism.
The pricing is quite reasonable, and the the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I feel they put a lot of effort, heart, and soul into their food.
Overall, I really enjoy Shawarma Time, and I strongly recommend it to others.
This place is the real deal when it comes to Lebanese food. Always excellent service, the owners are wonderful people and their memory is excellent. I usually go for lunch here and the food never disappoints! I have tried close to everything on their menu and it is all phenomenal! The place doesn't look like much on the outside and inside, however, i go to restaurants for food, not ambience. Keep up the good work guys!
Best shawarma in Winnipeg! Excellent portion sizes, amazing taste and seasonings, great service! We live in the east end and still make the trip out for this place.
Good food. Prices are okay. I was hoping for a bigger portion for what I paid. I felt decently full for 10$. Quick service and convenient location. I would come back. Better to bring a friend
Cool little family restaurant in the west end. My go to for shawarma in the city! Beef or chicken lamb is great as well as the samosas. Friendly service as well!
So tasty. I usually get the chicken. Always juicy. I would avoid the garlic potatoes - too much garlic for my liking. The wrap is good the plates are great.
Shawarma Time is always an awesome choice for lunch. Mr Talal always has a big welcoming smile and truly wants his guests to leave full and happy. Any shawarma on the menu is awesome, my personal fave is beef and lamb, spicy. Good stuff!! The Cheese and tomato pie is excellent with just enough feta on it to give the tomatoes an awesome flavour but not kill it. The spinach pie is excellent as well. I've also had the tabouli salad which is a nice lighter choice some days.

Perhaps the best shawarma in town, and a staple of the West End. Fresh and tasty, friendly and relatively quick, with some delicious sides and options as well. Not really a place to sit and spend time though. Grab some shawarma to go and enjoy the atmosphere for the few minutes you're there.
Excellent food, friendly helpful service, open late, definitely will be back.
Probably the best take out experience I have ever had. What bright flavors. There was nothing in my dish that didn't amaze me.

The food here is as amazing as the family that run it. By far the best Shawarma in the city and a Tabbouleh that's second to none!
Warm and friendly staff offering delicious shawarma and other Middle Eastern dishes at affordable prices. Careful, it may be a little smoky sometimes from the spits, but it's entirely in keeping with the food and flavour. Plus, they have the very best garlic sauce for their wraps and platters!
I like to think of myself as a Shawarma
connoisseur and oh boy have I hit the jackpot. Shawarma time combines a fantastic authentic environment with the best shawarma I've ever had and incredibly friendly service, such an amazing family you always get the feeling their genuinely happy to see you. If i go with friends i always get fries to share, I love to show off those amazing fries to my friends. Sometimes i wish the portions were smaller so I could have room for their delicious and flaky baklava.
This positive experience started with the free parking behind the store - not every place has free parking.
The wonderful smells upon entering were just what I needed to whet my appetite. The service was friendly (but not over the top) and very quick. The young person was so pleasant I tipped *for takeout!*
I tried the chicken shawarma and a spinach and cheese pie. Both were absolutely fantastic! The shawarma was zesty and exotic, just bursting with flavor. The spinach and cheese pie was huge, very tasty, and very filling.
The whole meal only cost about the same as a burger and fries but was much more satisfying.
