Binh An is the third North Main restaurant that I visited first early in January. The other two were Modern Coffee and Newcastle Restaurant. Bihn An is located in a little strip mall just south of Main and Redwood. One aspect of Binh An that I like is that there is good bus service up to it. The 15, 18, and 20 routes all stop across the street. When you walk in the register is straight ahead of you, and to your right you find tables lining down each wall, with the kitchen in behind on the left and the washrooms, etc., behind the tables on your right.
Friendly owners! Very tasty Pho’s and lovely tea. It took awhile for our food to arrive, but the owner said that they made the soup from the scratch. We will comeback. I will recommend it to my family and friends.
Really good food! Friendly owners. We had the pork vermicelli noodle bowl with shrimp on sugarcane (#18), sweet & sour shrimp soup (#45), and the chicken with lemongrass & peppers (#60). I'll be ordering the first 2 again the next time we're there. The third was good too with lots of vegetables - very lemongrass forward considering it was full of minced lemongrass. I wanted a bit more spice in the dishes, but my wife didn't and they did have chili sauce there just for that purpose anyway. Very glad we drove half way across town to enjoy the food!
Best Pho in the city! Have visited many other Vietnamese restaurants and Binh An definitely has the most flavourful, authentic tasting broths. No MSG either which is very hard to find! Their Chinese food is also excellent, vegetables were not over cooked but done to perfection, the meat was still moist even in the deep fried dishes and their sauces were a step up from the usual Chinese flavours. Service is quick and prices are cheap as....pho??
I eat here at least once a week and they make one of the best phos in the city, which has an excellent selection already. Banh mi is also excellent and the owner is hardworking and friendly. A real treat and well worth it is the $18 grilled meat platter under appetizers, especially the shrimp in sugarcane. Seriously, one of the best places In the city
I came here once with a Vietnamese mate because he told me that their pho is delicious and on point. Since then I have been there probably more than I should have considering I'm addicted to pho. Let me tell you people considering a new Viet restaurant - Binh an has the absolute best broth in the city. Whether it's beef, pork, or seafood, they are so delicious and I recommend this place to anybody looking for a good soup. I've never strayed away from the best broth and fresh ingredients with this place, but why mess with a good thing? My personal favorite is the traditional binh an seafood pho (#34 I believe). You will not be disappointed here. My second and third restaurants are Pho Tue Houng (spelling?) on 661 Ellice and TH Dang on pembina.
I've been here a handful of times and overall I would give them a 3.5. Their service is quick and friendly, but not attentive. You'll have to wait a bit before you can ask for water or extra napkins. You may also notice several tables with plates/cutlery from the previous customers. You just don't expect to see messy or dirty tables during the slower parts of the day. As for the food, I had the salad rolls. They're average. My partner and I also had the rare beef pho. The broth was delicious and they were generous with the meat. I do not like their noodles. They stick together and are hard to eat with chopsticks. Overall, my visit was OK. I had only come here because Phuong Nam was closed.
Binh An has the tastiest broths that I've had in the city. Definitely my favourite place for Vietnamese food. It's always tough for me to order because I've liked everything I've tried. The Pho is delicious, as well as the other noodle soups they offer. Aside from the #28 beef pho, some of my favourite dishes are #22-fish fillet with tomato and celery, #33-Pnong Peng soup(sliced pork, shrimp, squid), #12-charbroiled pork vermicelli, and #19-deluxe Vietnamese vermicelli with charbroiled pork, spring rolls, pork ball, and pork hash. Oh, and if the taste of the water seems different, it's because they flavour the ice with vanilla. I find it quite good.
If you're a fan of Pho and Vietnamese cuisine, you need to check this place out!

Excellent. Small little restaurant. Excellent food. Great prices. Service is friendly and casual like what you'd expect from a small family run place. Excellent food and they have vanilla flavoured water! New go too Vietnamese restaurant.
This is by far the best true authentic veit food in the city , iv been going here for 8 plus years , its made fresh every day. The couple Always believes in good healthy homeade food and that's what it is ! Iv taken so many people here and not one has not gone back ! This place deserves a 6 with out a doubt !
Delicious and great deals. Try the Lemon chicken and fried rice..really, it's all good!! Great menu!
The black bean tofu is great. Portions are well sized and all so flavourful.
I really love their ginger beef and their fried rice. I also love their egg rolls as well.
I absolutely love ordering the salad rolls here. No one in the city makes tastier peanut sauce. Every time we visit, we also order the deluxe vermicelli. I would highly recommend visiting this place!

New owners in 2020. Absolutely wonderful when asking for menu items when you have dietary restrictions. Thay made a gluten free ginger chicken for my friend that is to die for.
Menu is streamlined. Alcohol no longer served.
