I really enjoyed my time here. My friend and I had ordered a hookah, and the waitress was nice enough to steer us toward a flavour we would actually enjoy. We had the babaganoush as an appetizer, it was fantastic! I had the chicken shawarma plate, and I now have a new favourite shawarma place. My friend is vegan and they had a ton of options for her and were quick to point out she wouldn't have been able to have the garlic sauce (which was too bad for her because it was absolutely delicious). The staff was great and extremely helpful. Overall great atmosphere, and I do plan to go back.
I was looking for a nice quiet place to smoke a hookah in Winnipeg, and that's the one. There's no pressure, no loud music, just hookah and chill. I loved the place from the get go.
Their falafel is the best in town in my opinion, and I lived in the Middle East enough to know. Get the falafel wrap. Ask for pakhlaba dessert, it's very nice. Their nicotine-free hookah is very pleasant, I recommend blueberry-mint flavor. Goes well with sage tea.
I had the best experience at Arabesque. The people are very friendly and give you the best service you can ask for. They hookah itself is the best I've had anywhere. The quality of the hookah was amazing. The food and drinks that are offered here are top notch, cannot ask for anything better.
Anytime I go to a restaurant I look for exceptional service, and honestly speaking I got that service here. In terms of shisha, I've been to all the shisha places in Winnipeg, this has to be the best shisha I've ever had, not harsh at all. Last but not least, the food here tastes very good.
Absolutely delicious! Had the chicken Sharwarma and it was succulent, loaded with flavour, and accompanied by great service! Also ordered from Arabesque using Skip the Dishes and it was the fastest order I have ever received. A lovely addition to the Winnipeg food scene!
I was at Arabesque on the day they opened and I have to say I was surprised by how delicious their Shawarma was. I used to live in that neighbourhood so I always used to try new restaurants as they opened.Since then, I have been there at least a couple dozen times and I have always had a positive experience. They put lots of care and love in their food and because of that their Shawarma is unlike any other I have ever tasted.
I have no idea how this place has even one bad review!?! I have been here at least 4 times and never found anything wrong. Love the shisha and the service is awesome too! The guys that work there are very friendly and willing to change anything to suit your needs, even rearrange furniture. Very laid back environment so its great for unwinding! I will definitely be coming back with my friends again!!
When I go to a restaurant that serves foreign food... I want the entire dining experience from that country/location.
This place nails it. The food is not only as good as it gets - but the experience is brilliant.
I come here at least once a week... sometimes twice and order the Arabesque combo every time. The kafta and shawarma tastes amazing every time. The pita and moutabbal tastes amazing every time. The falafel tastes amazing every time (hint: eat it before anything else).
A particular favourite of mine is the Egyptian tea. Try it with one spoon of sugar.
From the clouds of shisha smoke, to the Arabic background music and slightly dimmed lights... I came here for a taste of the Arabian desert and that's what I got. I'll be back many times.
Best Arab restaurant in the city, food was unbelievable. Shisha and tea was a great compliment to the shawarma platter I had. Tender, seasoned meat, with fries, hummus, and tabouleh salad. Amazing.
Definitely gives me that nostalgic feeling from back home. Would definitely recommend it. The owner is super nice and friendly. Must try the shawarma.
