I had Blondies for the first time today via skip the dishes. Best bacon cheese dog I've ever had and the poutine was made with a very generous portion of cheese and gravy. Extra special touch, the dog was wrapped in heavy duty foil and arrived very hot. If I could give my meal a 6/5 I would. I had no problem paying a premium price for this premium food! I'll definitely be in the restaurant for a burger and shake soon.

Can't stop raving about this place! Beautiful burgers that taste so fresh, huge orders of homemade fries and the best damn strawberry shake ever!!!! Sandy even made our shake when she was super busy! Our server was a fiesty fireball with amazing skills and the ambiance alone in that place is worth the trip! I was totally star struck and couldn't stop giggling when I caught a glimpse of Sandy in the kitchen!!! Run, don't walk, over there before she sells....just make sure you're hungry ;)

It was my first time to visit Blondies today, and I have to say, I've never tasted a better burger. The experience was great, and we were all a little scared of pissing her off, which I think is part of the charm. She's really a sweetheart and her server was great too. Awesome burgers as always! Went with 2 other coworkers and each had a 1/4 pound burger and fries. Quick service, huge burgers, great fries and great service. Needless to say, we ate too much and didn't get a lot done in the afternoon! Sandy checked on us several times to make sure we're satisfied!

We REALLY enjoyed our first visit to Blondies! Can't believe we hadn't been before- we live pretty close :). The burgers were awesome- very very good! The buns were very fresh- and I was happy - no sesame seeds! (I have a sensitivity due to diverticulosis.) Fries were amazing too! And The Cinnamon milkshake was to die for and the server even offered to put it in 2 glasses since we mentioned we were sharing it. Thanks! You get massive burgers & shakes here I got the 1/4 pounder here & was by far the biggest 1/4 pounder I have ever seen was juicy with lots of flavor & had a hard time finishing it. I also glad I got a milk shake got the banana cause it was on special for $10 the regular price was $20 which is crazy expensive for a milk shack but was delicious.

Took my boyfriend here as he is a fanatic about burgers, and wanted him to try it before it's sold. We ordered a 1/2 pound cheeseburger with fries and gravy on the side. My boyfriend kinda spazzed a bit on the prices but I assured him it was worth it. I will mention a 1/2lb burger cut into fours is the same size as a burger pretty much anywhere else. I haven't been here in awhile but fondly remember the past experiences when I've brought my son as its one of his favorite places. This tiny place is busy and you can tell Sandy is exhausted with all the people coming in getting a Blondies before it's gone. I will say this....buger is fantastic homemade and fresh. The fries didn't have seasoning and the side of gravy is an extra $3 it's tiny and it's not homemade and very salty. We asked for water as simply we don't have the room to fit a burger fries and add a Coke or shake so when we asked for a glass of water the waitress said bottled only and it's 2.50 for a .40 water bottle. That was new. I will say to all the people reading this as to look over the menu carefully, and if your going to get a shake ask right away what the prices are as they are not on the menu. Burger was great, the service from our young server was the bare minimum and she blew her nose in front of all the customers and didn't wash her hands which is a health thing in my opinion, so it's a good thing she didn't come back to serve us till we came up to pay the bill. I wish we had brought the kid with us as he would have loved to go a lot time. Good luck Sandy in Ireland you deserve a bit of paradise!

Love the burgers here! They're always full of flavour and juicy and full on messy…but that's what makes them great. Homemade fries and gravy (or poutine) are the perfect side. Have yet to try a shake because I doubt I'd have room for that as well as the meal.

Tried the grilled cheese & bacon, which you can't really screw up. It was delicious and I always love homemade fries. I found it to be a bit pricey for what I got. I also find the decor and signage to be a bit frightening and standoffish.

I don't understand the low review of this place. It's a great burger. It's fresh, homemade and is what a burger should be. I constantly hear how dirty it is but it's not, it's just the decor and if you feel that the lady is a (c u next Tuesday) than there is probably a good reason for her to be the way she is. Judging by some of the reviews and reasons why people are complaining, one can gauge who the real a**holes are.

My husband and I have been customers of Blondie's for a few years now.
We have never had a bad experience.

The food is well worth the price you pay for delicious home-made food.
If you have never tried Blondie's I recommend the home-made burger's and
home made fries or onion rings, but having said that all of there food is great.

We have always phoned our order in asked what time to pick it up and from the time of our phone call to picking up our food has always been less than half an
hour.

You for sure need a sense of humor when you come to this place and need
to be open-minded and non-Judgmental. If you give Blondie a chance she is a very nice person-she has always treated myself and my husband the way I would want to be treated. Bottom line you treat her with respect and she will treat you with respect its just that easy.

For all those Hater's out there- you never gave her a chance, after all
there is a reason she has been open for 25 years and still going strong.

The truth sour grapes. gripes without merit. Let's face a lot of people are great at being jerks. I have been eating a Blondie's since 1992 and have never had a problem. I like her burgers better than any other place I've been to. No restaurant will let a person bring in food or drinks from somewhere else. I don't blame Sandy for getting mad at people like that. The place is clean. Who goes and helps themselves to there own drinks when it even has a sign saying staff will get you drinks. The smallest burger is $6 but it is better and bigger than a more expensive burger from other places that claim to be 1/3 of a pound. Sandy puts up with a lot of cra- that she shouldn't have to. You eat the smallest burger and you are more than full. Small fries $ 4 so don't order the bigger stuff unless you are there with many people. You won't finish it anyway. If you don't see a price ask how much the milkshake is. The stawberry milkshake has 7 scoops of ice cream with real stawberries. If you don't wanna pay $14 don't order it. My friends who are not miserable love eating there. She has been in business 24 years. Don't act like a jerk and you won't get treated like one. Who asks for fresh squeezed lemon in tap water ?

Mixed feelings - has it's ups and downs.. Food is delicious! One of my fav burgers... they're also HUGE, which i like. Other than that everything else could be looked at one or two ways: you either love it or hate it. I think that the restaurant itself has character, with all the pictures on the walls and the famous "rules" plastered everywhere. It is rather small, and old - which some may not like. Many people think that the "rules" of Blondies are rude, when really they're just stating proper dining etiquette; just in a bold in-your-face kinda way. I myself like that place and go here whenever im craving a big fat juicy burger. Blondies a funny lady when you talk to her.

One thing that you should expect is the hidden fees. You pay i think .40 cents with interac, and added charges for real cheese and bacon on a burger thats more than 3/4 lbs. Theres signs for these but not everyone will see them when your focused on all the other decor. Also the debit machine doesn't have a tip option so if your going to tip bring some change! Other than that give it a shot.

Blondies is a fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is fun and the food tastes amazing! I had the 1/8 pound burger and my husband had the quarter pound. The burgers were juicy and piled high with fixings. We only managed to eat half but look forward to enjoying it later!

Love Blondie's Burger!. It's been too long since I made it to Blondie's and I'd forgotten just how good her burger is. Big, juicy, fine grind, firm and just the right amount of salt. I could taste the bacon and *four* slices of real cheddar. Even the bun was fresh and perfectly sized! Don't tell Burger Club, but the Blondie's burger is easily in my top 5 Winnipeg Burgers.

Great first visit. Based on the reviews on here we went In a little scared and prepared to get yelled at and assaulted by Blondie. Couldn't be further from the truth. She was very nice and even made the 9 ponder for our group of four even though you apparently need to pre-order it. Four of us finished it but could not take one more bite. For the size of patty it was cooked perfect and was tastey. Place was pretty full but order came pretty quick. I think some posters on here are just a little uptight. Price might see a bit high but I've never been that full anywhere else I've spent $25 (my 1/4 burger with two drinks) on a meal. Will go again but might try one of her smaller burgers this time.

Went here the other day with my family and some out of town friends who requested the best place for burgers in Winnipeg. Honestly was a bit skeptical at first, as the prices seemed a bit high for how "grungy" the place was. But in the end had an awesome experience. Waitress was very friendly and on top of things, burgers were AMAZING, definitely best I've had in the city, and when we thanked Blondie for the burgers she was a sweetheart.

I'm sorry others have has a poor experience, and maybe one day I will understand why but until then this is absolutely my favourite burger spot in the city.

Well isn't this just special??. Ok, get over the horrible artwork.
Get Over Sandy, and her "Shtick", as that is all it is. Customer abuse to her is supposed to be an art form, or at least she tries to make it one.
Forget about the grammatically incorrect rules that would indicate you should be eating elsewhere.
It is all part of this place's lack of ambience.
Let's just call it reverse customer appeal.
Or should we call it the S&M anything you want unless we are too busy tired or aggravated to serve you.
All that aside.
Sandy if she is anything is a great short order cook.
The food is prepared to perfection, although I will not pay 9.00 for a hotdog anywhere on this planet.
Burgers, Fries, Soups, and if she is still doing the cinnamon buns are absolutely delicious, and even a quarter pounder is ample to share for two.
Milk Shakes are only for those looking to put on a few lbs.
Half Pounders will cause trouble for the hungriest of big eaters.
If you are interested in taste, and well prepared food, it is worth the trip this corner at Kildonan Park.
A lot of food for 2 is under $30.00, If you prepared to share, and likely you should the 1st time out it will be about 20 - 25.
If you are going to start with the soup, you might just finish with it. It is more like a hamburger stew in a bowl than soup!

Keep on keeping on Sandy.
As usual I will be back, even if it only 4 or 5 times a year!

We had an awesome time at Blondies. If you think this place is expensive you must be one cheapo!!! You get what you pay for here. We had huge portions and finished every bit of it and it was heavenly. We enjoyed it thoroughly. And just like their rules say!! If you have a complaint about the staff, food or the waythey handle their business a McDonalds is just down the street.

After over a ten year absence, finally went across town back to Blondie's. I remembered it being good, but life took over and I just never got back. So after my curiosity was spurred on by some recent media coverage, I had to go back.OMG, am I ever glad I did! The burger was massive, fresh, and tasty, and EASILY the best I've ever had in Winnipeg. Just a delicious, steak like flavour, with exactly the right kind of bun. The smoky bacon, crisp fresh iceberg lettuce, and firm juicy tomato and choice of onions were also perfect, adding to the burger, not detracting. The homecut fries were also fresh and tasty. So let me tell you what there wasn't: there was no gelatinous patty full of filler. There was no soggy pile of salty, greasy chili. There was no gallon of welfare mustard slathered onto the bun. There was no wispy, translucent rancid bacon. There was no artsy-fartsy dark green soggy spinach lettuce. There were no tiny annoying sesame seeds to get caught in your teeth. And for me, it was the lack of all that crap that I have been putting up with on my burgers for years that made this burger experience amazing. How could I have forgotten about this place? I'll be back now every single time I crave a burger. And the owner won't bother you if you shut up, enjoy your food, pay your bill and leave when you are done. (I think..)

BEST burgers in Winnipeg. I love this place! I do believe they have the best burgers in Winnipeg. Huge proportions. The fries are really good, too. And the MILKSHAKES. SO GOOD! I recommend the chocolate. I love the atmosphere and decor.
Based on some other reviews, I PERSONALLY have never had any problems, and am definitely not a "friend" of the owner's. I think that's a bit of a silly assumption.

Mmm.. Just to be clear after one of the comments below, I am not a friend of the owner. I'm just a greasy spoon burger lover, and this is one of my favorite greasy spoon restaurants. The burgers are incredible - perfectly cooked with all the fixings, and the fries are crispy golden with good quality gravy. I have yet the sample the milkshake only because I just don't have that much room to ingest one following a meal like that. I'll admit, the woman there is a little on the strange side... okay maybe a lot... but its part of the atmosphere and that's what makes it awesome.

Happy happy happy. I went for the first time tonight. I went because I seen the pictures on fb. The food looked awesome but I went more because of the negative reviews too. I wanted to see. Well to those who found so much wrong, your looking for things to criticize. The rules are common sense, and if your still offended then you have no sense of humor. The service was very friendly. No it wasn't like a box restaurant but so what. The owner is a character who is a nice person. They work great together..finally the food was everything I wanted! Fantastic homemade food!! Huge servings!

Best darn burgers around. I've been going to Blondie's for several years now... people on this site seem to have a lot of negative opinions of this place... get over yourself... no, it's not McD's or BK... the food here is made with QUALITY and tastes absolutely AMAZING! If you don't have a sense of humor turn around and go home... Sandy likes to bark and grumble, but she has a heart of gold... She's just as likely to give you a hard time as she is to give you a hug... the hard time is an act... and she smiles the whole time!

I've heard complaints about how the place looks... it's a friendly greasy spoon... you want high end looks then go to some cheap-assed chain restaurant that has servers in uniforms... and reheated food from buckets!

I encourage all of you to go there! The burgers are to die for! And... if it isn't super busy... try a milkshake.... OMG!

Favourite Burgers in Winnipeg. I love Blondie's. I've been going there for roughly 10 years. One day, my Dad said that he would take me to get the best burger that Winnipeg had to offer, and, man, was he right. The food at Blondie's rocks.

The burgers are huge! 1/2 pound is my favourite, just an outrageous size, but I can take it down. It's perfect old school burger. Bacon, cheese, delicious beef, and all the fixings. What more could you want? So good. The fries, the onion rings, the poutine, everthing is amazing. And the milkshakes? Expensive, but fantastic, with those 7 scoops of ice cream.

I love the "decor." The rules on the wall, the pictures of randoms, the drawings and funny signs that say "Cash only, no barter" and "Due to aggravation fee, milkshakes are now $10" are hilarious, and just add to the experience for me. I love "dive" restaurants, and Blondie's is no execption.

A lot of people complain about the attitude of Miss Blondie herself. I love Miss Blondie. She's a riot. Banter with her is a part of the experience. If she's busy and has no time to banter, I feel that I've missed out on part of the experience. It's her restaurant, and she can act the way she wants, and I wouldn't want her to act any other way. Ditch your sense of entitilement at the door and come into Blondie's for the best burger Winnipeg has to offer.

I love you, Miss Blondie. Don't ever change.

Great Burger!. For 22 years this place has been serving up one of the best burgers around. No fluff just the good stuff. Chose the size and your done. Fries were very fresh and tasty. We liked the funky atmosphere here. As for the owner, she seemed very friendly to us and since it is her restaurant, she is part of the draw here...honest burger and an honest no holds barred owner. Don't like it? McDonald's is just down the street!

Expensive?? Rude ??. Ok so i have read every review for Blondie's and I really don't get some peoples comments... Like that the food is over priced !!! what?? Are you comparing fresh cooked food to McDonalds? than yeah it's more expensive but it's not precooked, it's not sitting under lamps all day. For the amount you get it's priced perfectly... Also to those who think the rules suck and the owner yelling is insane I bet none of you have ever worked in the food industry, she only says what the rest of us are thinking. Some people can be very demanding when going into a small hole in the wall place, alot of customers act like there walking into a 5 star restaurant and want to be treated like that. But your not it's a small place with 1 cook and most of the time 1 waitress, a tiny grill and small deep fryer so it does take alot of time to cook everyones meal so yes when big groups or everyone shows up all at once she's not mad cause your all there it's because alot of customers don't want to wait 5 minutes for there food, they want it on the table as soon as the waitress takes there order, alot of people walk out as soon as there told it will be a 10 mintue wait. I've seen what most restaurants will serve there customers they don't care as long as they get paid, what place won't serve what they wouldn't eat themselves? I think this place is amazing, the food the owner I give it 5 stars

Love it. Love it! Love it! Best burger I have ever had.. The astmosphere is creative.. Blondie is a blast... The rules on the walls are hilarious. People who have no sense of humor will not aprieciate Blondies!! Milkshake are to die for... 32 ounces of heaven no syrup there is only fresh fruit!!! All is made to order and found out nothing is pre-cooked..no heat lamps there..plus first I have ever had a choice of cheddar ( real cheese) or processed.. Staff are wonderful..is it any wonder this lady has three tv shows under her belt!!! Best time ever!!

I was so busy yesterday ( once again I have no idea why as I can't cook and I'm a mean bitch who should live under a bridge with a bunch of trolls ) anyway, I digress , I do apologize to the person who ordered a,tuna sandwich and got her milkshake spilled on the table ,. There r certain shakes that I make without adding milk, however if the ice cream was sour I am terribly sorry. .. If my server told u I tasted it and said there was nothing wrong with , that is not true, I detest ice cream, u couldn't pay me to taste it.. Who goes to a burger joint( oops sorry, dirty hole in the wall situated,in the grubby north end .... I'm not in the north end , I am in West Kildonan, ,learn something new every day,don't we! ) and who orders a tuna sandwich ??? That , to me is like going to KFC and ordering Sushi! However , u do have a valid point... I have it on the menu so u certainly have the right to order it just like I have the right to not make it.. C? We all have choices in life! So have a nice life Tuna Lady, cause I certainly plan to ( not much left of it anyhow )

Unhappy Blondies customers. After reading my reviews , I decided to respond to those of u who r Blondies Haters! Wow! There's lots of u!! Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to voice your opinions about me, my restaurant, my prices and my staff!! Whew!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that.... However , I feel I also have the right to respond ....I'm so sorry that the quality of my food and the prices, not to mention the fact that I am truly a horrible nasty person who yells all the time!! I am and I do, However, I do not yell at my staff, I yell( actually its more of a scream) at the customers, ( that would b u ) do u want to know why I would do such a thing?? because I can.. This dump or dive or whatever it is ( having worked here every day ) except for Tooosdays) , I'm quite aware of my surroundings ) Do I wish I had the money to redecorate?? No, I love the way this place looks, truly sorry that it doesn't quite do it for u..oh don't let me forget the fact that I don't accept CIBC cards . I have absolutely nothing against this bank ... My debit machine does... It recognizes all CIBC cards as Visa, and since I do not accept credit cards ( I know, I'm a horrible person ) I do not get paid, as a result of this I have given out a fair share of free food, before realizing this problem,..I have contacted CIBC as well as my debit provider, to which neither of them can figure this out.would it b advisable to get a new provider ! Absolutely!!... However I am under contract for 2 more years ..( I think they must hate me too ). I believe my prices are very reasonable ( of course I do, silly people) I need to survive in this world , I am the sole provider for oossie ( my cat, he hates me too ) oh, to the group of boys who complained about having to tip my servers when there r 6 people or more, ..... I have seen what these girls have to do .... Your wish is their command, they do the very best they can for u, and most of the time they receive nothing or a nasty note or even Canadian tire money ( not nice ) Please don't take your unhappiness with me out on them...as for charging 18.00 for a pop.....I doubt that happened.... But if it did? Why on earth would u pay it???? I don't know why 3 film companies wanted to showcase my restaurant , after all it is a dump and I am a vile and vicious person who doesn't know the proper way to treat people or cook for that matter.,I guess I've been doing everything wrong as I have only been running this crappy place for 22 years...maybe I'll try to change my ways before I drop dead ....hmmmmm. If you like burgers and S & M.... The best burgers are homemade and Blondies makes the best homemade burgers! I've seen some comments about it being pricey. They are not cheap but on the other hand, not expensive for what you get. A half pound burger is really a half pound burger after cooking, if not more. The fries are great too! But don't go here if you are looking for char broiled burgers. These babies are fried like they should be. If you don't like greasy spoons this is not the place for you. But if you like meaty burgers, you'll love it here. The decor is ecclectic to say the least but that makes it all the more fun.

And, yes, the owner is abusive but that makes it more fun! She says it the way it is, like it or not. You either like her food or get the h*ll out! What a riot! You need to experience it at least once, especially if you like good old fashioned greasy burgers.

Do it at least once!. Been going here a few times per year. Even got our picture on the wall a couple years ago...we knew we finally made it into her good graces.

You better believe you pay for a very large burger and a large shake that's damn good.

The Burger: We get ours loaded and it has everything I want on it. These burgers are thick, and you will wait for it, but it WILL be cooked and you CANNOT complain about that.

The Shake: Seriously, how many joints have fresh strawberries? This lady does! I prefer the raspberry though. Yes, they are pricey, so STFU and don't order it if you aren't willing to pay for it. Served in a large stainless shake cup...lot's of ice cream, & thick...a classic!

The Service: We know the rules and we don't break em. You're not going to a hoity-toity steakhouse. Go with the flow and you'll have a good burger pig out then go home for a nap.

Note to the High School football boys: Treat the Offensive Line Hawgs to a burger feed, they'll love it.

I can has super tasty cheezburger. Confession: I like going to restaurants where the owners are a little feisty - it just makes the meal that much more interesting. I went to check out Blondie's infamous rules, and I'll go again because of the amazing burger. We went mid-afternoon to avoid the lunch rush which was great - ample time to finish our 1-lb cheeseburgers, poutine and huge strawberry milkshake (she had someone run out and get ice cream to make it - given the amount they put in that's not surprising). The weight description is of just the patty AFTER it is cooked - so they start off with 3 times that weight of raw ground beef!

Juicy moist flavourful beef patty topped with grilled onions and crispy bacon, cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato, on a custom-made bun (it's a big burger). Had to cut it up into quarters to eat - I ate 3/4, my bf ate all of his and most of the poutine & milkshake (apparently impressing Blondie enough to take our pic :P). Poutine is ok, but the stars of the meal are definitely the burger and shake. I'm surprised they were able to cook it so evenly - it wasn't burnt on the outside and wasn't raw in the middle. Milkshake was thick, with fresh strawberries and probably the entire tub of ice cream.

Despite the reputation this place has, Blondie and the staff were actually really friendly and chatty that day - though it helped that it wasn't busy and we followed the rules. It's a bit pricey (we ended up paying around $60) but then we did eat 4 people's worth of food each. I didn't eat anything beforehand and didn't eat anything for 18 hours afterwards either. My leftover quarter pounder easily made a full meal for someone else that night.

Restaurant is tiny with little parking, single room washrooms (hence the rule about guys using the ladies room), but if you factor that into your expectations and let go of your customer is always right entitlement, you can have an awesome meal with live entertainment. :P

She can beat me with a bat- as long as she keeps making those shakes.. Went to Blondie's for the first time yesterday with two friends. First, I READ THE RULES. They are right there on the wall. "If your order is wrong, it's your own fault." "If you have a complaint about the prices, the service or the food, McDonald's is right down the street."

She doesn't need our reviews. Her burger was fantastic, and came with EVERYTHING (including thick cut, crisp bacon) and the milkshake- well, I ASKED first before I ordered it. I asked because it says in the rules not to order it if it's busy... So, it took her twenty minutes to make it- but it was worth every second and every damned minute I'll spend on the treadmill next week.

I would pay over 15$ for this shake. 7 scoops of ice cream and real strawberries? Yes. Please!

I don't care how loudly Blondie yells (my friend ordered a tuna sandwich and we could hear Blondie yelling, "That's going to take FOREVER I AM BUSY!") as long as her food remains this damned good.

I will go back, and I will eat that damned 1/4 lb burger (I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to finish if I had fries yesterday). That burger will NOT beat me again. LOVE IT.

My husband has been here repeatedly and he's always enjoyed it, and would like everyone who's saying the owner is rude to try going in the off peak hours, because he says she's actually a really, really nice lady. But still, it's her place, her rules.

My kind of joint.... Today was my first time dining at Blondies, and it will not be my last. The burger was amazing. It was HUGE! I am going to tackle the 9lb burger with my friends in the next while because we are cool like that. The "dive" look and feel to the place adds character, and who cares if the owner (Blondie?) is a little ... eccentric. This is a must dine restaraunt if you enjoy burgers.

The service was great too. Quck and efficient.

Highly, highly recommend!!!. After wanting to try this place out for a while, my husband and I made our way there this afternoon for a late lunch. I have to say that I wasn't too sure what to expect, having read many reviews, both negative and positive. I was a little apprehensive at first, remembering other reviewer's comment about "the rules" and the owner, but that was quickly put aside.

"The Rules" are simply common sense, telling people they can't be pushy, rude or over demanding simply because they are the customer. Having personally worked at restaurants that bend over backwards for pushy A**hole customers, I found it extremely refreshing!

Even though we tried to be conservative and share a 1/2 pound burger and a small poutine, we still didn't finish the burger. The portion was HUGE! and completely delicious. I have to say that I enjoyed this burger many times more than other legendary Winnipeg burgers.

The Server and owner were both very friendly and made you feel at home and welcome.

We will for sure be going back to Blondie's and I can really see this restaurant becoming a favorite of mine.

*Notes for next time: Order a smaller burger and bring cash for a tip!!! (there isn't a tip option on the debit machine)

Nine of us went for our 2nd annual road trip to Blondies. Everything went well, burgers, fries and milkshakes were outstanding! Everything is supersized so be careful what size of burger you order. I was in my best behavior this and did not feel the wrath of the owner.

WOW!. Really amazing burgers... They are huge and tasty... The smallest burger is ridiculous and fills me up no problem.

A plate of fries is good between two people and usually doesn't get finished.

Be warned their one pound burger makes a Mic D's 1/2 lb burger look like their small cheese burger. In fact you could probably fit about 8 of them into one of Blondie's 1 lb buns.

The building looks kinda unmaintained from the outside (but seems quite clean and well kept inside) and has a weird but cool atmosphere inside and despite all the claims of a mean owner I have always have great friendly service every time I went.

The burgers take a while after ordering due to the sheer mass of meat that has to be properly cooked, so don't go there if your expecting them to pull a patty out of a drawer of fat and slap it on a bun like they do at MC Ds.

They have a large list of rules on the wall which are fairly common sense and some interesting art i the bathroom as well as pictures of patrons and food and other things pinned to all the walls.

They also have a nice looking couch and a TV going and the place has a pretty homey feeling to it.

I highly recommend you don't judge a book by it's cover with this one and give it a shot.

Also it's within minutes of Kildonan Park where you can go walk off all the calories you just ate immediately after so you don't feel so guilty.
