Our food was delicious.They have a Great breakfast and lunch menu.The server was super friendly and was great with the food service.If anyone is looking for a good hangout place(family/friends) with delicious food,then I would highly recommend them Ben&Florentine!
This restaurant is amazing. Been twice now, first time with 4 people and this past time with two people, each trying a new dish, so thats 6 different breakfast items on their menu that we've tried an LOVED them all. The freshly squeezed juice is so good too! Our new favourite breakfast place for sure.
Friendly, courteous staff, a wide variety of food options, generous portion sized meals.

Fantastic menu to suit everyone. Service was wonderful. Watching your staff and how organized it was, very impressive.
My only tip is to have warm plates to keep that delicious food warm.

Food was delicious with lots of variety, not main stream fare. Endless coffee, service was excellent. When we arrived I thought we'd have a long wait as it was packed but only waited a couple of minutes. Well worth a visit. Only open breakfast & lunch.

Was actually at the Regent location. Service and food was very good. The breakfast options include your usual type fare but also had choices that are “kicked” up a notch. I will definitely try the one in River Heights next time.
Huge servings, always taste fresh. Only “complaint” if you can call it that, is everything comes with fruit whether or not it’s listed to come with fruit! But absolutely delicious and filling every time we’ve been there.

The food is amazing, and the menu is diverse (different than many breakfast places in the city). Downfalls are that the service is usually quite slow (whether they are busy or not), and they are only open certain times.
Breakfast was really good! I enjoyed the food. I had the new item, eggs with chorizo. my husband had buttermilk pancakes with his meal, but the pancakes weren't fluffy and weren't as good as expected. The potatoes were really good and well seasoned. service was slow and waited a while for our food and for our check.
Never had a bad meal. Always busy place. Don’t go on a wkd for fast service.
They forgot about our meal one time waited over an hour patiently till we asked what was up, or it would have been a 5.

Have not been to B&F before, so we decided to try it out. Called ahead to ask if they are busy and they said they are not. I noted wanting a reservation for 10:15-10:30 and they took our name, phone #, and number of people. They said that they will have a table ready for us. We arrived at 10:20 and the server said we were not there at 10am so they gave up our table. We reminded them on our reservation and that it was clear on the phone, and they said no reservations after 10am. We came from the other side of the city so we said that was not acceptable. They came back and said they were ill get something shortly. There was a big lineup in waiting area and we waited only about 5 min. Phew!
All this aside, the service was great and the food was delicious. All of our meals were as expected or better and despite the rough start, we enjoyed our meal, flavours and portion sizes and relative value as well. it was nice to have spacious tables as well. I attached a few pics of our meals... yum. We will be back.
Honestly my favourite place for breakfast, they use to have a way bigger menu but they kept all the things I usually get anyways. Service is good, portions are larger and food is amazing
Ben and Florentine is an excellent place for brunch! They have excellent smoothies and a wide selection of healthy food! At my latest visit, we ordered the Apple and Cheddar Crêpe (caramelized apples, cheddar, almonds, caramel and whipped cream) and the Avocado Lox (eggs, guacamole, smoked salmon, capers, red onions on a 12-grain bread with fruit).
We were very pleased with the healthy selection on the menu! The smoked salmon on the Avocado Lox was exceptionally fresh and the crepe was delicious.
This place is typically very busy especially over the weekends. However, it is quite well staffed so even if your server is too busy to serve you, there's always someone else who is more than happy to take care of your table. The servers are friendly and the service is much better at Ben and Florentine than at Cora's.
Overall, I would highly recommend Ben and Florentine!

I was browsing on Zomato for a breakfast/brunch place and came across Ben & Forentine. I had no idea that it was so close to my place. I've been to the strip where the restaurant is located, but it had never caught my eye. Anyway, the hubs and I had arrived to the restaurant at around 10:00 AM and there was just a small wait for seating. The family in front of us had been waiting for a while. It appears that there was only two waitresses that were working, and the restaurant looked busy. We were able to get a seat by the window.
The waitress was able to get our order in a timely manner and food arrived within about 15-20 minutes. There was a variety of breakfast/brunch items to choose from ranging from your usual breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast to skillets, waffles, crepes, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, and eggs benedict. The hubs and I opted for their skillets.
I ordered the "American" skillet, which contained one egg (made in any style), minced beef, roasted red peppers, corn, tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions and cheddar (~$13). The menu also indicated that it is served with their famous home fries and toast. However, neither the hubs or I received toast with our skillet order, nor did the waitress ever ask what type of bread we wanted. It was not until I wrote this review did I realize that it was supposed to come with toast as indicated in their menu. The food was well seasoned almost to the point where it may have been a tad too salty, but still enjoyable. We also ordered a side of pancakes. The pancakes were large but thin, and nothing was remarkable about it.
The waitress had came to our table once after about 5 minutes of receiving our food to check on how our food was, but never returned after to see if our water needed to be refilled, as both our water glasses were empty.
We do plan on returning to try some of their other menu items and would recommend giving the restaurant a try.
Service was fantastic, but the food is also really good! Lots of choices, and staff were fine with modifications, asking for things on the side/substitutions, etc. also lots of healthy options!
I don't get the "crispy French toast" though. It was just weird. Pro tip: stick to classic.
Had the two eggs etc, very generous portions!! The ruby red smoothie was tangy and delicious but quite expensive for the portion. I would personally pick this over Coras.
Move over Cora's! This place will give some breakfast places a run of their money. We tried this place last Sunday for brunch. There was big line up and 20 minutes wait but it was fast and friendly service. I ordered for the True Blue with eggs, bacon, blueberry pancakes, cube potatoes, apple sauce,fruit on the side and rye toast with jam- huge serving! My friend ordered for the Eggs Benedict with fruits and mentioned it was also good.We'll be back to try other items on their menus...and come hungry.

Bf and I came here on a Saturday morning at about 8:30. We were greeted right away by a waiter. The atmosphere was really nice with bright coloured walls and textiles. It reminded me a bit of restaurants in Mexico. The waiter was friendly and patient even with bf who takes some prodding to pick a dish. I went with the mochachino and classic eggs Benedict with ham and a bagel. The hollandaise was one of the best I've tried in Winnipeg and the portions were very generous. The home fries and fruit were nice additions the fruit was ripe and delicious and the home fries were perfectly seasoned and not bland like some places. Bf had the ultimate and regular coffee. He said the coffee was awesome and the ultimate was better than he'd expected. My only critique would be that we could hear one employee in particular criticizing her coworkers in the kitchen and it was a bit inappropriate.
We will most definitely be back.
Great new place for Breakfast ! It was pretty busy when we got there but we were seated right away. I ordered the avocado eggs benedict. It was delicious, hollamdaise sauce was very thick and creamy, it came with a side of fruit and hash browns which were also very good. The price was not cheap but not expensive, it was priced appropriately for the amount of food received. Would definitely go back again !
Brunch this morning with a friend, it was packed solid with a very long waiting list, took us 45 minutes to get a table and the waitress who was quite pleasant when she did arrive at the table. Took awhile to get our coffees and water. Coffee was great but for $3 was a tad overpriced. Just a note as all the specia@lty coffees and smoothies looked lovely, they are in very small mason jars and probably better off going somewhere else for $6 worth. I ordered the meat loaded eggs benedict and the potato latkes instead of the hash browns. My friend ordered the blueberry pancakes with eggs and bacon. All were very good but my eggs benedict were ice cold and the hollandaise sauce had congealed, I had to put a lot of lemon on it to get a flavor out of it. My latkes were hot, crispy, and flavorful. It was pretty expensive as with the added $3 for the latkes, coffee, breakfast, and tip came to almost $27. I'll definitely come back but it will be a rare treat to do so.
I came here for the first time during the weekday and I absolutely loved everything from the service to the food. I ordered La Gourmandise which came with a lot of good quality food considering the price! Once I ordered, I went to the restroom and when I came back the server was back with our food which tasted amazing. I wanted to save the waffle part until the end to serve as a dessert and the server saw that I was not eating it because I was waiting to eat it with my sister when she finished her food and asked if I didn't like it or if something was wrong with it which I greatly appreciated.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who is tired of the same old breakfast meal and want to try something new with exceptional food and service. I will definitely be returning soon.
Fantastic atmosphere. Location is perfect. Plenty of parking. The staff are efficient on busy days. The food is delicious and well presented. Serves one of the best HAM AND CHEESE Pancake Sandwich!

Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast here. Had a veggie omelette with fresh fruit and a gluten free bun. The staff was able to carefully make my omelette gluten free. My server was very helpful and knowledgeable about gluten free choices.
I have found my new favourite breakfast restaurant!! Best food and service I have received in as long as I can remember :) The avocado beni from the new menu is wonderful and there are endless amounts of other choices in the menu too. I have never once been disappointed at Ben and Florentine in all of my visits!
It was a great breakfast. Omlete was perfect....highly recommend the spinach, mushroom, and goat cheese. Sevice was fast and friendly. Only comment for improvement was that the bacon was too crispy. We will be back....
Came back a second time. Found out that they regularly will seat a group of 4 ahead of a group of 2 if a booth opens up. Had to talk with the manager after two had been seated ahead of us. Supposedly there is a seating policy for booths according to the hostess. Be careful to make sure you don't have this happen to you
If I were told that Ben and Florentine was a chain restaurant, I would not be surprised. This statement isn't a bad thing. It just means that they hold some semblance of standards that they have to achieve, which I must say they did.
The food was fine. There were healthy options, as well as glutinous ones eg. the ultimate pancake; which is essentially their answer to the Mcgriddle. Overall, it was a great experience. They had a surprisingly clean bathroom, reasonable wait staff, and great food. This place is definitely a great breakfast/brunch option, if one is tired of the Mexican breakfast's at Stella's, and don't want to settle for something vomit inducing from Perkins and the like.

I had heard about Ben & Florentine's from seeing an ad in The Metro paper. We were in the area last Saturday, so stopped in for lunch about 1:30pm. It was not too busy, and we were seated right away. There is a lot to see on the menu, and it all looked delicious and sounded good. I had the Tuna Croissant and BF had the Bagel and Lox. He made a point of asking if there would be lots of lox. The server agreed. It was a bit of a wait to get our food, but our appetites were whetted by watching the generous portions pass our table. Our food arrived, and the presentation was beautiful. BF did not get as much lox as he was hoping for. Both plates came with their signature home fries, and fresh fruit. My croissant was generously stuffed with tuna salad, but not so much that it was difficult to pick up and eat. The home fries were delicious, and the fruit was a generous portion of a wide variety of fresh, big chunks of pineapple, strawberries, banana, blueberries, an orange wedge, and some melon (but thankfully melon was not the majority - as you often find in other restaurants). The coffee was good, and refills were offered several times. It took a bit of time, after we asked for the bill, for it to actually be delivered to our table, and our server did not offer us their reward card (which I only found out about after, when looking at their website). As we don't live in the area, it may be a while before we return, but I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a very nice breakfast-lunch restaurant, with good food and generous portions.
I'm a picky breakfast person and this place was very very good. Lots of selection. Almost too much. It's hard to decide what to get. I had the ultimate which is a waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon and cheese. My daughter had French toast w Nutella and banana. Which she loved. My friend had the Brie and blueberry French toast which was good but I would sub out the raisin bread. We only waited 15 mins but it got really full around noon. The service was ok. Our waiter got a few things wrong w our order and never apologised. I'll be back!
The food was pretty good for the price. We came in at around 1 and it did take a while to be seated but either than that the food was lovely and the service was prompt. I had the Geneva eggs Benedict on a bagel and my friend had the 3 meats skillet.
First visit today, won't be the last. Eggs Benny times two. Big portion, cooked perfectly and I loved the meat lovers. Excellent service too. Welcome to the neighborhood.
We had a great first-time dining experience at Ben & Florentine's. It was very busy, but we were seated quickly and received service from our waitress promptly. The menu has lots of options and both my boyfriend and I enjoyed the food we received. I did receive the wrong thing initially, but it was quickly corrected by the waitress.
My boyfriend was disappointed that you can't order a small plate of plain pancakes as a side, so that was a minor drawback. We were also seated right next to a huge window, so even though it was - 30 outside, the sun beating down on us made us VERY overheated. The waitress told us that they will be getting blinds soon to fix that issue.
Overall we were very satisfied with the meal. We found the price suitable for the food and we will definitely be back.
A busy breakfast place , have some nice combos , I can understand the wait time will be more. They need more staff to handle the weekend rush , if two of us are on a table , one gets their breakfast 15 minutes before the other . Presentation was great , the server was hassled , but friendly, so we did not lose our cool. All in all a good place for breakfast , though, not a relaxing one. Will come back on a weekday.
My recommendation would be to try out the breakfast combos , that’s value for money.
This place has variety of items on the menu that anyone with any taste can choose from. Their crepes are amazing. They melt in the mouth. Their Sausage and ham have good taste and quality. Nice and friendly staff. I will definitely go back and recommend this place to anyone who’s into brunch! I absolutely love this place.

My first time visiting Ben & Florentine on Kenaston. The service was awesome, the breakfast options varied and delicious, spacious and clean environment and very good covid measures in place. The only thing I would have liked was if my coffee was served in a tea mug that was warm because hot coffee in a cold mug makes your coffee cold before two sips. Prices for breakfast items range between $12.95 to 17.95 approximately.
Incredible eggs benedict! They have many different options to choose from. Their hollandaise sauce is spot on. Their BBQ version is slightly spicy with with meaty toppings. I wasn’t a huge fan of the goat cheese but it went well with the rest of the flavours. Their eggs Benedict also comes with a good portion of hash browns and fruit. I ordered a side of Crispy French Toast & Caramelized Apples which was very large. The topping was like apple pie filling with almonds. Very tasty… Their service great as well. Server was very attentive and polite. We also preferred a booth and appreciate how they made that happen. Will definitely be going back!
Great brunch place for the south end. Great service but I find the food comes out slow. This place is always busy!! They have everything you could want for breakfast and the atmosphere is excellent. Taste wise I think it's okay! The fruit smoothies here is excellent
