Sushi Ai is my absolute favourite place for sushi in Winnipeg. The service is always really good, the decor is beautiful and set the mood well, and the sushi is amazing every single time.
I recently went there for my birthday and I got my usual rainbow roll, then I also tried the evergreen and vegetable caterpillar roll. The rolls were bomb as usual and I would for sure get them all again (hopefully soon).
Really fast and friendly service. Sushi was reasonably priced and very good. Restaurant was clean and had a fresh and modern atmosphere. I would definitely go back again!
Great cozy place. Food great tasting and fresh. Great service. Clean bathrooms. Kids even tried sushi for their first time and actually ate them!!

My No.1 go-to place for some good food. I'm a traveller, and I've been in every place of Canada. It's not enough to say this reataurant is the best sushi restaurant there is. And trust me, I've been to plenty in the country.
Not one sushi restaurant I've ever been to has such great interior and service. The chef is extra friendly and the sushi is such high quality. The prices are kind and the sushi is perfect sized for that good bite. Such a beautiful atmosphere and so professional. If only I didn't have to travel so much, I'd eat here three meals a day. I highly, highly recommend this place, you gotta eat here.
Went on a first date here, by recommendation of my date.
The quality of fish and everything was good. I like simple/traditional one-ingredient sushi, and the rolls were made as expected with nothing seeming out of place. The price vs size of rolls seemed like the rolls could be larger for the price. However considering the quality, decor of the restaurant and service, I would say this is a good restaurant to go to.
Sadly my date didn't transpire to a second date, however the restaurant itself was good that I would totally bring another here, or at least I plan to visit again.
Love this little gem in the South End! Been here many times and never disappointed! Service is great, and the sushi rolls are the perfect size to fit in your mouth! Highly recommend this place!
Sushi AI is one of my go to places when I'm in the mood for sushi. Their teriyaki beef is incredible too, I didn't even know that beef could taste so flavourful. Everyone there is very friendly and I've always had a great experience at Ai. Highly recommended!
One of my favorite sushi restaurants in the city. Service has always been friendly and quick, restaurant is clean with a great atmosphere and the rolls are delicious. I actually appreciate how small the rolls are in comparison to other sushi restaurants as I find them much more enjoyable to eat. They are also reasonably priced with a decent variety.
We always went to SushiN but tried this when SushiN was closed. This is now our sushi restaurant. All fresh, and great tasting. The tuna is always good. And the shrimp tempura is great.
One of our favourite go to sushi places in Winnipeg! Definitely bang for your buck in terms of quality and price, this place never disappoints and is always consistently good.
Visited Saturday for lunch, started off with shrimp tempura which is your average tempura nothing exceptional or bad about it, then had tuna and salmon sashimi which was good but would have preferred larger cuts of fish, then we had some fatty tuna, red tuna, salmon, fatty salmon and unagi nigiri which were all very good! They make very good sushi rice.
To finish things off we had a Maple roll which was good but the mango on it was a bit too tart for my taste. Overall Sushi Ai never fails to satisfy our sushi itch.
Just hands down the best sushi East of Vancouver. Such wonderful presentation, flavors, and options. The price cannot be matched.
This is really the best sushi in Winnpeg, good prices, such a good service, very cozy resturant, everything is so delicious! I usually go there at least once a month and always happy with them. Would recommend for sure!
We have been here a couple times, I do enjoy dining in but we have gotten take out the last couple times obviously due to Covid. I'm not impressed with the spicy mango shrimp...not gonna lie Wasabi does it the best, but everything else I had was good.
First time ordering sushi at Sushi Ai. The other sushi place we usually pick up from is closed on Sundays. We were pleasantly surprised by our order. We ordered their largest party platter with some veggie and yam tempura. The party platter had a good variety of rolls to choose from. It is actually better than the platter we get at the other sushi place. It would be good to know if you had an option of switching some rolls for other faves we would prefer. Next time. We were very happy with their tempura. The yam tempura is a fave and happy that it was a large portion. Food came packed neatly and looked as good as it tasted. We will order again and when Covid restrictions end have dine in experience. Small dining restaurant with lots of parking in front. The staff were friendly and informative when we ordered.
It had been over a year since I last ate here. They have made some really nice changes since then. They got some new chairs, which are very comfortable! The food was amazing! I think they have made some good improvements here. The presentation of the food is really nice, the portions are good, and it is reasonably priced. Some sushi places feel quite expensive for what you get, but you can get a nice selection of sushi for a good price. Service was also really good. Overall a really good experience with a nice, relaxing environment inside. Highly recommend.
Wonderful choice for sushi! Price wasn't terrible and food was fantastic and fresh. They also accommodated a large order.
