The service was speedy and the food was perfect.
Amazing as always. Friendly staff, reasonably quick service considering a table of eight, plenty of refills on your coffee. Great value normally, especially so with the mailer/online coupons offered. Perfect "diner food" experience, founded locally, owned and operated locally. Child friendly too!

Who doesn't have a Sals memory. I went again today and as I was alone sat at the counter. The place was very busy and a hive of activity. The staff were hopping. I could look into the kitchen and everyone from the cooks to the servers were working hard and I was struck by how much they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. A great vibe for a workplace. The food was up to it's usual high standard. Just a great Winnipeg institution!!

I've been coming to this location for years. The menu has changed only slightly in all that time. Food is good, wait staff are prompt and friendly, and the prices are fair. Also, if you are like me and like ice chips (the small round-ish ice) that's what all their soft drinks are served with.
