The staff are always pleasant, they also inform you exactly about what they have so you don’t spend an hour asking to see what they do have ready. Well worth it to check out and take advantage of the Daily specials.
I've been to the smoked meat joints in Montreal, this place is just as good, honest. They've been around for a long time and just being inside is a neat experience. Lots of memorabilia and things to browse as you wait for your tasty sarnwhich!
Myer's is always good! The only negative I can think of is the limited seating, be ready for take away. If you like meat, rye bread and hot mustard you will not be disappointed.
If you want more bang for your buck, and don't mind paying for it, this place is for you. Giant sandwiches with mounds of flavor. The pickles are no hell, but that shouldn't stop you from stopping in and getting your money's worth for a top quality sandwich. Highly recommended!!
Darn tasty, if not a tad expensive. My dining partner and I are always on the lookout for tasty new places to try. Have to admit, this place makes dang good food. The pastrami sandwiches with massive pickles tasted fantastic. I also had the coconut curry chicken soup, wow it was great! They also carry a selection of glass bottled pops (didnt catch the brand name) and various salads. I was somewhat surprised (shocked?) when I got the bill, but it was really great grub and really great service. Would definatly eat there again.
Sam-tastic!. I love coming to Myer's! Every time I come in I always feel like part of the family. The service is warm and friendly and you can tell they love what they do. They have a great selection of treats and cheeses and I get something different pretty much every time I'm there, it's always amazing! The sammies are to die for, a meat party nestled between two slices of the freshest bread, and they're so big I often have to resort to taking half home. But you know what? I think my favourite part are the pickles, they just really tie the meal together and are necessary for the full deli experience. All in all I adore this place and would definitely recommend them!

Myer’s: my go-to neighbourhood joint, soon to be yours too!. In a time when not much is certain, upon stepping foot in Myer’s you know immediately that you, and your rumbling tum, are going to be well taken care of. Touches of the late, great 1950’s Coca Cola ads, red and white gingham and other such picnic-themed items chosen with a discerning eye for North American nostalgia lend a special, cozy vibe to the place. This family-run place is always buzzing and the faces behind the counter are warm, welcoming and make you feel like you’re part of the crew.
What you need to know about the food? It’s unpretentious, delicious and consistently awesome. Added bonus: you can eat in, or take anything out for home.
• Sandwiches are gigantic and served on fresh bread. Their egg and tuna salads are unparalleled. Montreal smoked meat is just like you are at the smoked meat mecca: Schwartz’s. Turkey and Swiss is my personal fave, but that’s just me. Also – their smoked salmon is always fresh, pinched pink and served with a dollop of cream cheese (they’ve got capers, of course).
• For lighter fare, there are fresh and fully loaded salads at the ready: Greek, quinoa, bean, you name it.
• If you are a savoury lover: the pickles are local, off the charts tangy, HUGE and have a satisfying crunch.
• If you are a sweet lover: their imperial cookies (among others) will rock your socks.
• The cooler is well-stocked with a selection of local Bothwell cheese, party-pleaser dips (and there’s lavash) and frozen items for dinner in a pinch (Manitoba perogies, anyone?).
Did I mention the nostalgia doesn’t stop with the decor? They have Tahiti Treat, people. Tahiti Treat. This will always be one of my absolute favourites. If you haven’t tried it yet, do so. It will become one of your frequent haunts.
AWESOME is only word that works! Great Place, Great Food, Great People. Only issue is Parking in Winter, which this year shouldn't surprise anyone. Don't take on more than you can eat because you will end up taking it home for supper! Soup is very good but the Sandwiches are AWESOME! The food is almost as Awesome as the People. If the sitting area was any bigger, it just wouldn't work.
OMG! I finally stopped in for a Smoked Meat Sand. Despite it's location across town from me, I WILL be back.
I can't add much to the other reviews other than IT WAS HEAVENLY! Juice from the meat ran down my arm and face though it was managable and I kept my new truck clean as I couldn't wait to get home to enjoy this sandwich from Smoked Meat Heaven. I believe I ordered the 350 and it was worth every dollar.
This is a Winnipeg gem that I am so happy I found. Love the vibe, the atmosphere, and how amazing the staff are. The sandwiches are incredible. Great value. Winnipeg needs more amazing places like this one.

My husband and I loved going to Myers Deli, when we lived in Winnipeg. The Montreal smoke meat sandwich is served on fresh cut rye bread and is soooo good. We were originally from Montreal and enjoyed a smoked meat sandwich. It was such a treat to be able to enjoy it again. The French fries are delicious. An added bonus is they bring in shipments of bagels from St. Viateur Montreal. Again you just can’t compare a Montreal bagel to any other bagel. Desserts are homemade and delicious. So are the salads.
You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Great people, great food, and a cozy atmosphere, you can’t ask for more (unless it’s another smoke meat sandwich).
Why did I just find out about Myers Delicatessen recently? I’ve been in Winnipeg for years and I can’t believe I only discovered this place a little while ago from word-of-mouth. From the photos on the restaurant wall, it’s apparent that this little “hole-in-the-wall” gem has been here for decades. It’s busy even on a weekday mid-afternoon with numerous regular customers stopping in to get their sandwich fix. You can eat here (they only have a few tables) or order food to go. You can also just buy their amazing meats as well. The sandwiches … oh my god they the delicious. Super good. The Montreal smoked meat is probably one of their more popular sandwiches but I especially love the brisket one because it comes with this onion jus for dipping which is mind-blowing. The pickles they serve with the sandwiches are really good too.
From the vintage decor to the amazing sandwiches, this was a 5 star experience. What topped it off for me was how welcoming all the staff are and the owner checks in with everyone with a warm smile and a quick conversation. Well done Meyers Delicatessen!!
First time here and it was a great experience! I think the owner was the one to take our order, we was great and described all of the sandwich options to us. The value for food is good and the quality of the meat and bread is top notch! Check this place out if your in the area!
A great place to get high-quality sandwiches! Been here several times and the sandwiches are always huge and delicious. Staff are very friendly as well. The Montreal smoked meat and turkey sandwiches are my favourites (I always get extra pickles on mine). Highly recommend this place!
The staff is so friendly and kind! The Deli Meats are always fresh and very tasty. The store is small but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A good value for your money. It is worth a stop to go there for your Deli needs.
