Review Vera Pizzeria - Winnipeg

Geoffrey
There is a lot of street parking all around this restaurant. This restaurant has a few tables and can be tricky getting a table. It is so worth the effort to get a table! The pizzas are great, the dough/crust is thin light and chewy. The cheese was flavourful and tasty. Overall I found these pizzas pretty close to what I got in northern Italy. The staff is wonderful they really made our visit great. Definitely go and eat in.

It was ok. Very doughy taste and texture. Dough seemed really salty. Sauce and cheese was good. I wouldn't run back but I have been wanting to try it for a while.

I have eaten take away here a few times but today I ended up on Vera's patio and had a lovely meal. Their pizzas are very unique yet completely classic. Each pie has a special flavour that always leaves me wanting to try another. Don't be afraid to roll up, fold, ball, fork or canoe a slice! There are as many ways to enjoy it as there are pies on the menu! Service was really nice, and friendly and definitely made us feel warm and welcome. It's great to see that there kitchen is visible to the guests and that staff was always busy and doing something. Never felt rushed, or hurried and I really appreciate that. The music was a bit too loud, made it hard to have a conversation and it would be nice to see a bit more effort in the decor that matched the uniqueness of the food. With a little more elegance I would feel more comfortable with the price point. All around a great spot in the village and I would definitely recommend eating here. Worth the money, but more of a treat than a regular spot. So go ahead, treat yourself 😊. Ordered the Fungi and margarita pies 👌 Fungi if you like stronger flavor and for sure a mushroom fan Margarita is a must try. If you don't like this, this place is not for you haha.its a staple.

Genuinely my favourite pizza place in Winnipeg. I recently went to Gusto North and they can’t even compare to Vera. The pizza is so rich in flavour and the salad was amazing. This is my go to spot for wood fired pizza!!!!

This place definitely deserves 5 stars for the quality of the food and service. They have amazing thin-crust pizzas and Meatballs, but my favorite is crustini! The prices are great and have a local homely vibe. and the Staff is friendly.

Great little restaurant! Went on a Tuesday night and was not busy at all. Server was friendly and helped with our selections. Ordered the Margherita and Salsiccia pizzas as well as the Crostini. Everything came fast but most importantly it was excellent! Going next week to try the meatballs and a couple of different pizzas. 5 stars!

I heard that this place can have lines down the street so we had to give it a try. Luckily it wasn't too busy, and we were even able to sit on the patio. Service was quick and we got the food quickly too. I'm a believer that the crust makes the pizza, and the crust is crispy on the outside and has a nice chewy texture as well. The ingredients tasted fresh. Not a heavy pizza, which is always good.

Id put this as one of the top pizza places in Winnipeg. The dough is extra thin and charred in all the right places. The most outstanding ingredient if the night besides the dough might be the panchetta, it was salty and extra savoury. Also have to say they are very reasonably priced. The salad was around 7-8 bucks and came out as a huge whopping plate covered in parmasean with a light lemon dressing. If you have room, I suggest the panna cotta with the thick salted caramel on top.

Not only was the food great but the exceptionally kind server chased me down to the park theatre so she could give me my cardigan! Such an unexpected kindness!!!

yum yum yum! the staff are great and the food is fabulous. what more can i say!

The absolute best pizza, dessert, appetizers, wine and service in the city. My partner and I have to actively try to not come here every single day for dinner.
Dimitris Protsios
If you like real Italian style pizza, that is the place to taste it. Simple menu, exquisite taste.
Ian Mattey
Great place...even better because it's in the 'hood. Everything on the menu is fantastic, the service friendly and quick, and corkage is only a $1 on Mondays!
Bob Collings
Fabulous, wonderful pizza...great, friendly folks ...

Favorite pizza place in Winnipeg and pleeeeease try the panacotta!
Karin McSherry
Best pizza this side of Naples. This is food for people who give a f#%k (about what they eat).
Harrison Samphir
Excellent pizza, welcoming space, friendly staff.

I will eat 6 Vera pizzas a month until I die. Unbelievable!!! I have been waiting for this to happen to Winnipeg. Thank you Vera Pizzeria! Oh and you stock my favourite beverage too! Happy me.
Mike Brisbin
Delicious! Crust is to die for! Will be back for sure!
Dee Cassell
Will definitely exceed your expectations! Great new spot to start your evening.
Kram Semenek
Awesome pizza, really friendly staff, and some great beers!

Got there just after 5:00 and got the second last table. First time visitor but it sure won't be the last. Loved it!!

Pizza was phenomenal. Only downside is it’s a very very small restaurant and they really have no place for you to stand and wait. But it is very much worth the wait. Service was great and prices were good. I’d definitely go again!
Rivercitywriter
The pizza was tasty but they were definitely stingy on the toppings. I got one teensy piece of pancetta on each slice. My friend who ordered the salami pizza also got one piece on each slice. For $15-16, we can’t get a bit more meat?

The marinated olives and salted caramel / chocolate panna cotta bumped up my rating as they were both unbelievably delicious.

Service was good, although we waited over 20 minutes for a table on a Monday evening.
Christine F
Wow! Incredible pizza!!!! Went there for the first time and had the olives for appetizer and the funghi pizza. To die for!! I cannot wait to go back!
Staff were very friendly and no pressure to leave despite tables being full.

Hands down, best pizza in Winnipeg. Service was great, small cozy restaurant that seats less than 20 people but we got in right away on a Saturday evening. We tried to make reservations but they don't accept reservations. I've tried many pizza joints in Winnipeg but Vera's had the freshest ingredients and chewy, tasty dough. My husband got the cheese pizza and I got the one with their house made ricotta (can't remember what it's called). I rated it 4.5 as I felt that their speciality pizzas could be a bit lower in cost. Will definitely be back!
Hellospringroll
My favourite pizza ever! Delicious. A bit expensive youll pay 20$ a person here. I had the margarita pizza. I do wish the portions were bigger but it is delicious. Ive been back a few times because i crave the pizza here. I think sometimes they are over zealous with the olive oil drizzle lolol but the pizza is good. There is one that doesnt have cheese though fyi. This pizza is more traditional/hipster. Cool art on the walls. Was a cozy date spot and i enjoyed the wine selection too.

My boyfriend and I recently went to Vera. We were able to get a table right away despite it being a Friday night. To start, we ordered the salads, the meatballs and the crustini. The salad was very fresh and light, and the meatballs were flavourful. Next we each ordered a pizza. I had the panna pancetta and my boyfriend had the spicy calabrese. Both were delicious and a generous size. We each ended up taking half home. To finish, we had the salted caramel pana cotta which was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Service was excellent. The only complaint I have is that they don't serve spirits, only beer and wine. Other than that we had a great experience and will be back!

This is honestly the best pizza I have ever had in my life, or at least the best pizza in Winnipeg. Vera has become our favourite place to dine out for pizza - good beer, not too expensive and refreshing simplicity. The interior is a little small but that's what makes it even more charming. Their Panna Pancetta is to die-for.

Vera makes some of the best pizza in the city. The prices for a whole pizza are quite cheap in comparison to other places. Yet the quality is above and beyond. Every pizza on the menu is amazing (speaking from experience) and they are made super quick.
Randy Fyfe
If you like good, gourmet pizza (minus a lot of pretentious toppings), this is the place to go. This is not a place to get pepperoni and bacon for pickup. The menu is a bit small, but everything is good. The menu on here only shows the one page, but theres typically a page dedicated to periodic appetizers and specials, as well as a larger drink menu.

My favorite is definitely the Napoletana pizza (but it doesn't have cheese); it's very traditional and it's the only place I know of that does it properly without cheese. The wait staff is very friendly and thorough. Even on the busiest nights pizza come out quickly (Under 20 minutes).
In the summer you can sit outside, otherwise in the rain or winter be sure to get there early as they only can seat about two dozen people at most indoors.
Mia
Light, thin crust pizza with simple and fresh ingredients. The Margherita pizza was unlike any other pizza I've had in Winnipeg. Finished the meal with the lemon panna cotta, a classic dessert done right. $4 for a beer, a steal of a deal! The restaurant is quaint and packed every night, so make sure to get there early.
Luke Jacob Thiessen
Delicious authentic Italian-style pizza, and not a bad price to boot. Some good side options and a good atmosphere too. Decent wine and beer options. Overall some of the best pizza in the city at a good price and location.

Vera Pizzeria offers Neapolitan style pizza, the kind that you would expect when you think of the traditional Italian pizza. The small menu allows the chefs to hone their skills and shows the great care given to each dish. The fresh ingredients and traditional techniques brings an authentic taste of Italy to Winnipeg. In addition, the late night hours are perfect for those getting off work late or craving a late night snack. Vera Pizzeria is an easy recommendation.

Amazing staff and food! Sometimes the wait to be seated is a little long because it's a small place, but it's worth it! I've never been disappointed with the food or service. I definitely recommend!
Good_Eats
Delicious homemade-style pizza! :)

There is an open kitchen when you walk in, and we were immediately greeted by the chefs and the server. The seating area is small, but cozy. We ordered the meatball appetizer, as well as a mixed green salad to start. I thought both were very good. The meatballs were nicely seasoned and had a marinara sauce which was tasty. The mixed green salad is very simple, but has fresh ingredients and a dressing which is not overpowering. I have ordered the salad every time I've gone there, and will do so again when I go next. Now to the pizzas. I love the homemade style crust. I have gone a few times and enjoyed every pizza I've ordered, but I think my favorite so far is the Panna pancetta. They use creme fraiche as a sauce as opposed to a marinara, so it depends on what you like. I had the buttermilk panna cotta for dessert, and it was a great way to finish the meal.

Great food and friendly staff makes for a great dining experience! I won't hesitate to go back again!

This place has the best authentic italian pizza in the city! The menu is very simple, but everything is fresh. Delicious crust and sauce. Friendly staff and good ambiance; in the summer there is a nice patio outside. Everyone who loves authentic italian food should try this place; it's the closest you'll get to true italian pizza in Winnipeg.

Mmm...this pizza is DELICIOUS!
We tried the margarita and it was pretty much perfect - perfect toppings, perfect dough, perfect size.

We ordered the crostinis for a starter and were a little disappointed that it was just two tiny pieces. Still, it was rather delicious but would like to see better portion size. Will return!

So glad I picked this place for my birthday dinner. We arrived there when they opened to ensure we got a table. Space was much smaller than I expected but organized well. Would be hard to take a group of more than 4 people there. As for the food the pizza was the best pizza I've had in recent memory, for sure the best in Winnipeg. We had the panna pancetta and the salsiccia. I preferred the panna pancetta because of the creme fraiche and house ricotta. The crust was perfect and the flavoured oils were a fun addition. I can't wait to go back.
Britt-Lee
The best pizza I have ever had. Everyone should go here. I loved the whole atmosphere of this place, it's small and intimate and the service was awesome! Plus they have great wine!
Howard Lavitt
Probably the most authentic (true) Neapolitan pizza in Winnipeg. Great flavour and ingredients and freshness. I recommend Vera to anyone who would enjoy true Italian style cuisine. Oh, and the wine menu rocks too!
Lauren
We came here with our family visiting from Italy. They were very accommodating to us as we had 11 people. The wait wasn't long and they were all friendly. The pizza was delicious! Prices very reasonable. Overall very impressed with this place!

I hadn't even heard of this place until a friend suggested we head there for a catch up! It was a quaint little place on Osborne and I was pleasantly surprised! There was a cute little patio with a few tables, and then a few other small tables inside! When you walk in, it's like you walk right into the kitchen, which I love (because I feel it makes staff be accountable for any mistakes or to keep sanitary!). The service was good, pleasant, & knowledgeable. The food came super quick and was delicious!! I ate the whole pizza, but didn't feel sick afterwards which is always a plus! They have a wide selection and all the toppings are really high quality. The menu is simplistic and unique! I will definitely be going back!
S
Absolutely adore this place!!! The staff are amazing and so kind. The pizza is delicious no matter what you try. Staff do their job fantastically. They also have a unique assortment of beverages, including many unique soda flavors! I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have an awesome pizza!

VERY IMPRESSED.
Great service, quant atmosphere and amazing food. I Would highly recommend this restaurant to others and look forward to going back sometime soon.

This place is amazing. Absolutely perfect crust. Chewy and soft inside, thin, and with just the right amount of crisp/char. I've tried a few of the pizzas and enjoyed all of them, but the classic margherita is still my go-to. The cheese is just the right amount of salty and creamy, and the ingredients all taste incredibly fresh and well-selected. There's not a ton of room to sit, they don't take reservations, and I live nearby, so we usually just grab takeout... but the space they do have is attractive and inviting and tastefully decorated.

I admit, I still really miss the Thai place that used to be in this spot, but I'm at least thankful that the tradition of exceptional food is being maintained in that kitchen.

Edit: The only people I think I've heard speak negatively of this place are people who prefer a very different, very North American style pizza. That's not me. I don't like thick greasy crusts, I don't like fourteen layers of toppings, and I don't expect to feel full after only two pieces. I like thin, flavourful crust, fresh herbs, very minimal and homemade sauce, and real cheese in moderate quantities. I have nothing against people who prefer the former, it certainly has its place, but you can't come here expecting that style of pizza or you're sure to leave disappointed.

Possibly my new favourite restaurant in the city. I've been a handful of times and have pretty much the same thing every time. The olives, polpette (meatballs), a pizza of our choice, and one of the desserts. The polpette are incredible. We get a great meal for a very reasonable price. Service is absolutely excellent and I love the charm of the interior. Remember, this is quality over quantity when you order a pizza and you absolutely get that.
Unknown Muncher
I didn't think the pizza was the best in the city.

It's definitely different, and tasty, but for the price I would rather have a lot more pizza and toppings, but hey that's just me.

The crust is great, and worth the wait if you want to try a different kind of pie.
Eric Davies
I couldn't come up with a reason not to give this restaurant a 5. The pizza shows such a refreshingly minimal approach: there are few ingredients and you can see and taste every one of them. Every single thing tastes great and the crust is the perfect thickness and chewiness. Like everything on the menu the beer is also reasonably priced: $4 for a Bulldog! The service is great and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming.

Go there. Now.. Had a great meal with friends the other night. It took a while to get a table but I would never(!) consider takeout unless you live next-door lest you miss out on the freshness of this soft, yummy pizza with a perfect hint of crisped edge. That said, the limited # of tables obviously makes take-out an easy option. Affordable, casual, great mid-week spot. Will definitely be back to sample everything else on the menu! Heard the panna cotta is unreal as well!
Avivagoldberg
Whatta pizza!. Delicious thin crust pizza with amazingly fresh toppings. The rhubarb panacotta dessert was fantastic, and our server could not have been nicer. Will definitely be back with friends, and takeout too.

Picked up some pizzas from vera tonite have to say the taste was top notch staff were friendly food was ready and waiting very good tasty stuff

Not for us. There are a lot of amazing reviews on here and I wish I could say the same however I am not a fan of Vera. I went for the first time the other day, we were a table of four and none of us were all too impressed. The service was great, there is no issue there at all. The issue was the pizza itself. All of us felt that the pizza should have been cooked a little bit longer as it was a little mushy. Also the pizza should sit for a bit before cutting. They cut the pizza when it's too hot to cut which ends up falling apart when you try to eat it. The middle of all our pizzas were completely mushy and you have to role the pizza up to eat it. I would hope if the pizza would set for a few minutes before cutting that this issue would be resolved. I don't see myself returning because of the way the pizza is prepared for the customer. It tasted good but I expected perfection based on the reviews and what I read about this place and unfortunately it was lacking.

This restaurant is an absolute gem for not only the south Osborne area, but for Winnipeg as a whole. First off with quiet side streets parking is always close by. When you first walk in your in a sunny west facing room that's modern, cozy and intimate. While they don't take reservations - we've been twice now and only waited once for 20 minutes. The open kitchen is a welcoming touch as when waiting we've had some good conversations with the chefs, plus it's always nice seeing a spotless kitchen. The server had remembered us from the first time and she's absolutely fantastic - attentive without hovering. Shes also candid about her personal favourites and assists with navigating the menu. We've brought our own wine which has always been fun and strikes good conversation with our server about what we bring in ($10 corkage). On to the food - pizza is superb, with fresh ingredients and the perfect balance of sauces to toppings. The crust is doughy yet charred in some spots which balances nicely when you add the chili oil. We've gotten the dessert both times and the size is perfect to share - will get it again next time. Highly recommend - 5 star food and 5 star service. Well done Vera Pizza

Everything about this place is amazing. I've eaten here several times and the food has consistently been fantastic. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Amazing everything. Food is unreal and very reasonably priced, atmosphere is relaxing and intimate, staff are wonderful people who provide wonderful service! Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

Mediocre Pizza Pretentious and Rude staff. Have been here twice since they opened and both times the servers and hosts have been extremely rude and condescending. The first time we went was like a week after they opened and we were SHOCKED at how arrogant and rude the staff was especially for such a new business. They acted like us being able to eat their sub-par pizza was some sort of privilege. The second time we went, a friend of mine had wanted to try it out so we hesitantly agreed to go back and were not surprised with our encounter. We walked in the door and were told by one of the staff that it would be about a 20-30 minute wait so we said we needed to just run an errand across the street anyway and would be right back. The guy we were talking to was very nice and normal and said no problem until he was very abruptly interrupted by the host (guy with blonde short hair) who basically shouted at us and the guy we were talking to saying they don't take reservations. They proceeded to argue in front of us whether or not we should be 'allowed' to come back and eat until finally the first guy dismissed the host and told us to just come back. Regretfully we did and got the same pretentious service we got the first time.

Winnipeg is full of amazing restaurants run by amazing people. This unfortunately is not. Do not waste your time or money these pretentious a holes.
Yem_goitom
The most racist place. Today, we have encountered the most unbelievable situation at this place. me and my girlfriend who are African decent went to the restaurant and were seated on a table of two. The host came and told us that four people are coming and we have to leave or make an order to go. He said he wanted the table we are seated to join with another to make room for the guests who are yet to arrive. We asked if it was reserved he told us they do not do reservation but we had to get up because they are four. We asked to speak to the manager and he was even worse at least the host was apologetic. The manager said how could we make it up to you ? we asked to be seated and served which he was not willing to do, He was just asking for the sake of it. Anyways there was nothing to be done except to leave .
It was the most shameful thing i have seen so far in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg in the winter - all you can do is stay warm and eat good food, right? Diet starts in the spring.... Here are some of my favorite places in Winnipeg...a recently opened pizza joint on South Osborne - remember Woo's Cafe? The space is cozy and warmed by the open kitchen and (natch!) pizza oven....The Napoli style pizzas were delish - high quality toppings (fior de latte, homemade sausage, etc.), not overloaded, chewy crust - pizza reinvented! And anyone who tops off a pizza with Maldon salt gets my vote
UniCorn On The Cob
So very good. Pizza is tasty, service is fast. The dessert is the absolute best. I have to admit, the first time I thought it was a bit expensive. Stick to the specials and water and it is very reasonable and definitely worth it. I will be a repeat customer! Good job guys keep up the good work.
Cpetropolis
Will be back. Small place with a cool atmosphere. The pizza is amazing, crust is crisp on the bottom and soft in the middle, just the right amounts of flavourful toppings.

We ordered an extra pizza after finishing the first two, and then took one home for our friend so he could share in the joy which is Vera pizza.

Bottom line its good, go there
Jaythefoodie
ABSOLUTLEY amazeballs. Incredible sweet sauce with the right amount of acid. Perfect thin crust with raised doughy edges. Great combinations for toppings. My new favourite pizza place.
Gigi
Really delicious pizza!. My husband and I went to Vera's for the first time and absolutely loved it. The fungi pizza was so delicious. We also got a salad which was really fresh and at $7 was a generous portion. The service was efficient and friendly. The only thing I would recommend to the owners is to laminate your menus and puchase larger water glasses and larger side plates. We'll definitely be back!

Loved it.. This is a fantastic little pizzeria. Tried the filleta and the salsiccia both were great, quality toppings. Their sausage is a little spicy which we loved. Tried the panna cotta for dessert which was delicious. So happy they are in our neighborhood!!

Pizza Lover. Ordered the Filetti pizza last night. Good Pizza BUT for 16 bucks I received 2 bay leaves 4 cherry tomatoes with heavy dough. Tasted great BUT not worth the 16 bucks. Needs more toppings to really get the full flavor.

Finally, Napolean Style has arrived in the prairies. I have been hoping, praying even that a Napolean style pizza joint would open up in Winnipeg. For those of you who dont know what Napolean style pizza is, its thin pizza cooked at really high temperatures for a short period of time leaving a nice crisp outside and super doughy delicious inside. I come from Toronto and have been spoiled by places like Pizzeria Libretto for far too long and have been in withdrawal. Yes, Carbone and Gusto fill a small void but not all of it. And Yes, as you can tell, I like pizza.
In steps Vera to fulfill all my pizza needs.
Went there on a Friday and got a table right away. Now, lets cut straight to the point here, as soon as you walk in, you know this place is a hipsters paradise. Beard and plastic rim glasses are a strict dress code. Loved the layed back feel to the place. Smaller, nice and cozy, and right there with the chefs while they prepare the pizza. Speaking to the owner, exactly what he was going for. It is his first go at a restaurant, and he nailed it on the head.
On to the food! Delicious
The first dishes we had were the meatballs and the salad. Meatballs were fantastic. Full of flavour and perfect texture. The salad was good as well. nothing to write home about. But hey, its a salad at a pizza place.
But that was just a warm up for the pizza. Ordered the Funghi with pancetta and the Rucolae prosciutto. Both were exactly what I was looking for. Crispy pizza on the outside and doughy and delicious on the inside. Base was delicious, and so were the toppings. Simple and delicious, just the way it should be. Finished it all off with some Panna Cotta that was devine, and washed it all down with about 6 Peroni's. This place is definitely my go to casual pizza spot from here on out. Afterall, it made for a perfect pre-drink for what became a night at the whiskey bar after. Highly recommend

Update June 2015: Seriously the best pizza in the city! Love the dough - thing but good crust with a slight chew. My fave is the panna pancetta ($16) - creme fraiche, pancetta, house made ricotta, fior de latte and parmesan. A rich and creamy pizza that doesn't feel overly rich and creamy with the slight saltiness from the pancetta. All their pizzas are good with quality ingredients. Great mixed green salad for $7 which can be easily shared - lovely lemon parmesan vinaigrette.

See my previous review below for more details on the place. Fantastic laid back place for delicious pizza.

*******

Great new pizza joint!. Excellent new pizza joint on the ever popular south osborne block just south of Oakwood. This place serves up Neopolitan or Naples-style pizza (not certified and no wood fire oven but that doesn't detract from the product). It opened up in early December in a former Thai restaurant, the space is small, as you walk in, the open kitchen is to your left on there's a tiny waiting area in the middle. The right side, is the small, modern yet cozy dining area that has seats for maybe 20 people. The space's decor is similar to many of the local third wave coffee shops.

The menu offers all items made in house - 9 different 12" pizzas ($11-$16 with most around $15) plus a few specials on a separate menu that had an additional mushroom pizza, meatballs, lemon parmesan salad and a panna cotta. Drink menu are all Italian wines, beers and sodas.

Pizza is really subjective but I like a good crust (soft with slight chew, not too thick and not too thin with good flavour), and just enough quality ingredients that doesn't overwhelm the overall pizza. This place hits all those points. I had the "salsiccia" - house fennel sausage, roasted pepper, dried chili, tomato, fresh mozzarella and parmesan $15. The sausage (no casing) has a nice fennel flavour. Also started with the lemon parmesan salad $7 which is a decent salad, nothing special but the only salad on the menu.

It was busy on the weekend but tables turned at a good pace if you're not in a large group. Service was friendly, not pretentious and very laid back but food service had a good flow despite how busy they were.

Great place! Only open for dinner.
Mon - Wed: 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Thu - Sat: 5:00 pm - 12:00 am

Will return!. Great food! Loving the open concept when you go in. Nothing to hide here. Don't forget to finish it all off with the panna cotta!

Fantastic Food and Atmosphere. I had not been to south Osborne before but this restaurant lured me there and i was not disappointed! The menu has enough selection of pizza that everyone should be satisfied and the food was amazing. I have tried both the Marhgarita and another and they were both really good. I recommend this place to anyone in the city!

We'll be going back. I popped in with my spouse and child for a meal because it's in our neighbourhood. They have a nice, warm, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We started with a tasty meatball appetizer served on crispy bread and then we shared Margherita, Calabrese Piccante, and Filetti pizzas, washed down with a beer and two cherry colas. Delicious crust! I saw them preparing one of the specials on my way out, a funghi pizza with a creamy sauce, and it looked incredible. They don't serve coffee, but you'll be too full from anything else to fit that in. I'm glad we got there fairly early, because there were people waiting for tables when we left.
Paula
Very Neat Place. I've walked by a few times since they just opened up, and had a great view into the dining room. It looks nice, with little candles everywhere. It looked a bit too classy to be just a generic pizza place, so I figured it was worth a shot when I ended up feeling like Italian.

Food was fast coming out, and looked great with the fresh green arugula stuff on top. No wilted veggies there.
Music was a bit loud, but they did quickly turn it to something softer when another person near me asked.
Server gal was nice and helpful, seemed to know her stuff.

The food is very different than a normal generic pizza, even the high end ones. Its got a different style and taste to it. The dough is more chewy and tastes a bit more like a naan bread but its an interesting different. I had the porchetta and arugula pizza.

The toppings went well with the dough, very fresh and probably more healthy than a normal pizza. I do wish the toppings went a bit closer to the edge of the pizza, because the dough of the crust was a bit plain on its own without a bit of the sauce or other stuff.

The desert was very interesting. It was this little jar of some kind of buttermilk cream stuff, with a bit of nuts sprinkled on it, then covered with some kind of creamy caramel, and a sprinkling of sea salt. Simple, only a bit sweet, and creamy. I prefer sweeter desserts normally, but despite that I still enjoyed it enough to think about getting it again.

This place stands out from the crowd, but I enjoyed the differences and look forward to trying almost everything on their menu at least once.
Julia
Amazing pizza. Had the funghi pizza with the creme fraiche base and I pretty much cream frached in my lady pants it was so good. Can't wait to go back for more!
