I have eaten at Smith probably a dozen times for breakfast-dinner. They have inventive and delicious options for each meal of the day and service has always been stellar.
This restaurant has chic decor and quality upscale cuisine. We shared a superb pork belly small plate. I had the pan seared pickerel and my husband had the black skin cod special. Delicious! The meals are a la carte so you order the sides separately. The sides are generous portions.
We asked why the restaurant was called Smith. Our server didn't know so he asked another. Turns out the name is derived from Blacksmith, Silversmith, etc..essentially everything is created from scratch (even the bitters) and great pride is taken in the creation of each dish.
My wife and I ordered a Smith Burger and Reuben. Both are really delicious! For the burger, the bun they used is brioche which full of buttery favours 😍, the patty is juicy, the sauce is subtle, the bacon is flavourful…… everything work well together!
For the Reuben, the toast is crispy and tasty, the brisket corned beef is super juicy!

Great time out, great good, live music. The mushrooms and brussel sprouts were both great side dishes. Great service. Wish servers were wearing masks still though

As the owner of Alexandra Lillian Weddings and Events, I've had the privilege or working on weddings at SMITH. Not only is it a stunning backdrop for a wedding, but the staff are incredible kind and accommodating to couples. Not to mention the food is top notch!

Great food and portions. Fish is always good. Steak cooked to perfection. Recommend the beets and potato side. Resto is not noisy so we could hear each other. Staff look generally happy. Minor issue: We were celebrating a birthday. The server needs to acknowledge and offer to take pics.
Best service in the city! Our order was running a little late as they had a large group to serve during covid so the manager apologized to us personally and didn’t charge a dime!! Raving reviews sure help. Lovely breakfast with a view 10/10
Beautiful atmosphere, well curated menu and impeccable service. The burger was delicious and so was the fish. You won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic food! The tartare is the best thing i've had in a long time and I haven't been able to find decent tartare in Winnipeg since i've moved here. Great staff, great music, great location but fantastic food! Will be back!
