This place was recommended to me from a friend and seems to be a very popular place. Glad we came early because the place was packed. First time having soup dumplings and it won't be the last. Wow, the dumplings are so good. Next time I will have to order more because my daughter ate 4 out of the 6 soup dumplings but we had lots of other great things we tried. We will definitely be back! The steamed spicy beef dumplings were my favourite.
The highlight of the menu for me is the dim sum. They are made fresh in house by very friendly staff. We got the steamed vegetarian mushroom dumplings and shrimp har gow.
My mum and I liked this place so much we went twice in a row to try some other items on the menu. The main dishes come in large portions so prepare to take leftovers. We really liked the garlic green beans with the chilli oil they gave us on the side.
Went with 3 of my friends, had the dinner for five plus spicy beef soup dumplings, vegetable dumplings and steamed pork buns. Incredible service and food was equally delicious. My friends were all from out of town and they said they would come back to town just for this place

This place never disappoints. Amazing food amazing price. You are sure to get enough food to eat for two. Loved the salmon teriyaki on rice. Total came around $63.05. 2 chicken Donburi, 1 teriyaki salmon, crab dumplings. 😋😋😋

Came here after a long day of traveling, feeling under the weather. Got the bistro style braised beef noodles and rou jia mo. It was so amazing. I felt like the heavens opened up and dropped food on my plate. Will be back next time I visit. The service was also fantastic.

The owners are amazing. My brother and I decided to order a couple dishes off Uber Eats, but in doing so, there was a malfunction with the app in which it didn’t let us use our credits so we had to pay the price in full. Upset with this, my brother contacted Uber and they cancelled our order. Unfortunately the order had already gone through to Shanghai Bistro and Uber advised us to go pick the food up ourselves even though we placed delivery. When we went, my brother explained the situation to the owner in which he said he was also not paid due to Uber’s cancellation. My brother stated he would pay, but the owner just told us that it was okay to take the meal without paying and to use their website directly to place orders. When we got home, my brother called the restaurant again and insisted on paying, but the owner declined. They didn’t have to, but we are very appreciative of their kind gesture.
Going on to their food, we had ordered the general tao chicken combo and the house special fried rice. To start, the chicken was not dry and it was a good portion size for its price. Not to mention, it came with a spring roll and some wonton soup. The house special fried rice is my favorite, it is so flavorful and full of ingredients. They were not stingy whatsoever with the shrimp (unlike some restaurants). Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Chinese cuisine.
Hands down best Chinese food in town. The eggplant, potatoe and pepper stir fry are too good...!
