The food here is delicious! Some of the best fish and chips on the strip, definitely our new go-to place in White Rock! We had the cod which was crispy and cooked perfectly, the coleslaw was to die for and the onion rings were superb. The presentation was really nice as well. I also had the fish burger which was delicious.

Cod are freaky and moist. The butter was a bit greasy and the oil tasted a little bit stale but this is fish and chips right?
Over all, I liked the food.
Montgomery’s Cottage Lunch is one of the many restaurants that serve fish n chips on the the quieter side of the white rock strip. I’m not sure what made me pick here over the other places, maybe it’s their casual ordering window, but the fish n chips here were everything I was craving for. We got here just before the strip gets busy on an early Friday afternoon, so we were able to get food really quick. I shared an order of sockeye salmon and chips and a single order of cod with a friend. Each order actually came with 2 pieces of fish, one big and one small, quite a big portion for a single order. Our food came piping hot and we really had to wait a little bit before we can really dig in. The cod was very fresh and juicy, as soon as you break the crispy batter, the juices will come running out. It was tasty but the sockeye salmon was better in my opinion. The batter grabbed on to the salmon better than the cod, and again the fish was fresh and delic
