Great atmosphere, beautiful view, and most importantly of all, fantastic food. Little India is my go-to for Indian food in south surrey. The owner will make it mild enough for your in laws, or spicy enough for your bravest friends. My mouth is watering just thinking about the paneer masala!
Amazing food! I've been to many east Indian restaurants and this is some of the best I've had. The portions seem small but you won't leave hungry.
Second to none!. This little Indian restaurant is second to none. I've been going to Little India around when it first opened and never stopped going back for more. Their butter chicken, vindaloos, and palak paneer are probably some of the best on this side of the country. And the view is fantastic to boot, boasting some great views of White Rock Beach and amazing sunsets in the summer.
The owner, Peter, is hysterical. So friendly, humble, and gracious. He happens to speak fluent Japanese. Factoid: him and his chef, who used to be Chinese, communicated with each other in Japanese as they couldn't understand each others' English accents.
Always great service and excellent food. My husband and I discovered this place when it first opened and continue to go back. Best place for dinner in White Rock!
LOVE IT!!! This is a toasty little diamond in the rough. The food is fantastic. The vibe is cozy and friendly. The owner is sweet and the prices are just right. We are so happy to have found Little India!

In fact, nothing has changed our opinion of Little India since we started driving out to this restaurant on the strip in White Rock, from Richmond, in 2003...now we live in White Rock and are indeed thankful that Peter & Veena are still at it.
Food-wise, the difference here is that different dishes have their own sauce - unlike so many other "Indian" restaurants where the seemingly same boring sauce is used for all dishes...just the meat or veg changes. Heat freaks be sure to ask Peter for some green chilis on the side.
Customer service gets as much attention as the food. Peter is the front man and is a people person. Names are important & Peter greets all who have been in before, by name. His wait staff are young & courteous, unlike some others along the strip.
The view from this little 10-12 table gem, located at the top east end of West Beach, just puts the perfect topping on a dinner.

Excellent food, the best in the area! Peter is an excellent host/owner .....knows what customer service is all about ! The chili chicken is delicious!
Incredible Indian Food. This is our favorite Indian Restaurant in the Lower Mainland. Samosas and Butter Chicken are incredible. Naan is so yummy. Peter is a great host and you get the feeling like you are a guest in his home. Food has a homemade taste that make it even more enjoyable. This is a must try if you enjoy Indian.
This is my fave restaurant! The best Indian cuisine I've ever tasted, Peter and his wife are awsome helpful and friendly. I highly recomend little India to anyone who has an aprication for the flavors of India. Great for vegitarians like myself because it's not always easy to find something other than salad
